Will Sanity ever exist on Milton City Council?
The Lusk Letter
Friends and Neighbors of Milton,
We are in the final days of the 2009 Milton City election campaign. Emotions are at a fever pitch; Accusations are in flight; The slander is rampant. Whom do you believe? What do you believe? Why should you even bother voting? These are all valid questions.
Over the past several days, a number of false accusations have been leveled at me and another member of council that we want to bring in large scale development, high density development, pave over paradise, extend sewers for development, etc. These are absolutely ludicrous.
Not only in the past three years, but over the last decade, I have fought to protect the unique character of Milton. That's why I moved here and settled on a rural gravel road. My family is truly conservation minded and we love the lifestyle that can only be found here.
I have done and -- if you reelect me -- I will continue to fight to preserve Milton's unique lifestyle and character, opposing development or things that contribute to any development that would harm, change or infringe on our unique community.
In the first two city elections we witnessed character assassinations, prevarications, and misrepresentations. Just when we all thought that our City had matured, the same old behavior returns. Is that what you expect from adults and especially Public Servants who are responsible for investing your tax dollars in the community and determining your laws and regulations? I think not. Is record of service important to you? Is honesty? Is service to the community, family, Country and God important to you? If so, my name is Bill Lusk. My record speaks for itself.
For the past three years I have been your Councilman from District 3. I have served with the same commitment that I served my Country in war, my community in peace, my family in life, and my God in my soul. I ask for your support and vote on Tuesday November 3rd to send me back to serve you for four more years.
