A proposal from Roswell Mayor Jere Wood to request the Fulton County School Board recognize geographical boundaries when drawing attendance zones failed Monday for lack of support.
Wood's resolution asked the Fulton school board to "consider city boundary lines and the unique community traits" of Roswell during the process of drawing school attendance zones.
But the proposal failed when only council member Betty Price agreed to support it for a vote. A proposal requires the support of two council members before it can be voted on by the entire panel.
