News from PM!

Protect Milton is proud to be donating Milton's official
Christmas Holiday Tree

Save the date: October 24, 2009, at 10:00 am,
(Rain out date, Sunday, Oct. 25th, 2:00 pm)

Protect Milton purchased the tree through Skinner's Nursery who located this awesome tree at Moon's Tree Farm in Loganville, GA. The Rowland Company from Sugar Hill, Ga is donating their services to transplant this tree (a 22' Deodar Cedar) at the
Corner of Highway 9 and Web Road this Saturday.

Also, a special thanks to Council Woman Tina D'Aversa for sponsoring this event, and approaching Protect Milton for this opportunity to be a historical part of our new City! We are looking forward to Saturday and hope you can come out and join Protect Milton, the Mayor, Council Woman D'Aversa and other Council members in celebration!

If you would like to be more involved with our group and volunteer your time

Thanks Tina. Thanks Lisa and Protect Milton. This is a real positive for our city.

Isn't there something incredibly wrong about using the tree that will be decorated to celebrate the birth of Christ to push a political agenda? I would think that would be something that would get you selected for a random check at the pearly gates...

Lisa, Lisa, this was already written up below, enough already about your tree. Everyone knows it's a well or not so well planned public relations bit for your dear friend Tina but alas, all in vain.

What is this sickness that is causing all you morons to spell "Webb" as "Web" ?

Lisa would have donated this tree regardless of which ever council member asked her to. If Karen or Bill had made the request you wouldn't even had opened your mouth about it. Why don't you call Lisa to discuss, I am sure she would be delighted to give you her point of view on it. There is nothing political about donating a Tree to the City. It is YOU who want to make it political. If you don't like the Tree or Jesus Christ or Christmas then don't bother to go and see it. You must be the poster who thinks that everyone on Council or in government must be an Atheist!! No God in our Country, No God in our schools, No God in our community. Why don't you leave the country since you dont' agree with the majority of people in this country or the Forefathers who created it. Hate to tell you but the ten commandments is everywhere in Washington, DC.

Did you know ...

As you walk up the steps to the Capitol which houses the Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view - it is Moses and the Ten Commandments!

As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door.

As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall right above where the Supreme Court judges sit is a display of the Ten Commandments!

There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C.

James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement: "We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of GOD."

Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said, "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ."

Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayers since 1777.

Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies.

Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting law would begin making law, an oligarchy, the rule of few over many.

The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said, "Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers."

How then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 200 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional?

GOD BLESS AMERICA

So what if you're a Jew? Or a Muslim? Perhaps we should keep on open mind.
