Councilperson Endorses Candidates

Councilperson Julie Zahner Bailey Endorses Candidates

Dear Milton Friends, Neighbors and Citizens,

I am writing to you today because the November 3 City of Milton election is just around the corner and I am concerned about the future of Milton.

I have heard from many of you and your expectations are the same as they have always been: Continue to help protect and preserve this unique community while allowing for balanced and appropriate growth, but not at the risk of undermining the very land use policies and development standards that have protected it thus far. With this continued mandate from the citizens I represent all across Milton, there is only one choice if we are to continue to protect the Milton we love and that is to Re-elect Tina D'Aversa and elect Bernard Wolff and Al Trevillyan. To do anything less puts the Milton we love at risk.

This election is pivotal. Whoever is elected will serve for at least another 4 years. And the future of Milton will either be reaffirmed in these next four years as the place you and I have stood tall for or it will be undermined by those who have a pro-development stance despite the wishes and expectations of the majority of citizens. Despite what some who are running of office might say, the City of Milton can afford to run its operations in an efficient and customer service oriented manner without changing the complexion of what makes Milton special. Please do not assume that just because someone sits in a Council seat that they are necessarily representing the decisions you as citizens want. The votes, the contributions and the comments into the record speak volumes and reveal the truth as to who represents which interests.

My commitment to you, this community and the values of citizens speaks for itself. My word and my stance on your behalf are unwavering. It is this commitment and long term history protecting and preserving what allowed this place to even contemplate becoming a city is what has me, on your behalf, endorsing and supporting Tina D'Aversa, Bernard Wolff and Al Trevillyan. (Scroll down for specifics regarding Tina, Bernard and Al and visit each of their websites for more details).

Please vote Tuesday, November 3 for Tina D'Aversa, Bernard Wolff and Al Trevillyan. The future of Milton depends on it.

And, with 7 days left in this election cycle, I urge you to route this and other information you have received about the candidates to as many folks as you know along with a personal note from each of you. It only takes a few minutes and can make all the difference. Every person, every vote and every action will make all the difference for our beloved community.

As always, it is an honor and a privilege to serve you.

All my best,

Julie Zahner Bailey

Re-Elect Councilperson
Tina D'Aversa (District 5)

I have had the privilege and honor of serving alongside Tina D'Aversa since the inception of the City and knowing her prior to incorporation. Tina serves this community with integrity, intelligence and ingenuity. Tina stands tall on the difficult land use decisions facing our Milton community helping to ensure consistent application of the law while being equally focused on ensuring services are provided in the most cost effective, service oriented manner.

Citizens can count on Tina to be strong, firm and consistent when it comes to quality of life changing votes including upholding our no sewer extension policies, requests for variances that are not based on hardship and rezonings that go against the land use policy and driving for a change in the CH2MHill contract. These decisions run to the core of what will either allow Milton to retain its unique character, or that which will allow it to be undermined.

Tina shares our passion for parks for Milton including both active and passive parkland along with a desire to acquire additional lands while also completing and implementing plans for our existing parkland.

I cannot imagine what the future of Milton would be without the leadership, community-centric convictions, dedication and limitless hard work of Council person Tina D'Aversa. I highly endorse her and support her re-election 100%. Councilperson Tina D'Aversa has my vote and she needs yours on November 3. The future of Milton depends on it. Visit Tina's website for more information

Elect Bernard Wolff (District 1)

It has been a pleasure to get to know Mr. Bernard Wolff and to hear him share his commitment and love of our collective community. He is an intelligent, yet humble man who wishes to serve citizens and his community because he has experienced firsthand the comments and plans of some to develop areas of Milton that previously he had been promised would remain rural and more in keeping with the citizens' vision of Milton.

He is a lifelong member of this community having loved and worked his family's farm since the 1940's. His love of the land and the community is enhanced by his MBA from the Wharton School of Business, his international business success and his sincere commitment to public service solely for the purpose of helping to protect this very special community. He brings his entrepreneurial successes, his financial acumen, creative thought processes and absolute commitment to citizens first to the Council table.

Mr. Wolff is not entrenched in the development community nor does he have a pro-development stance. He is committed instead to a very different future for Milton and that is a future that is consistent with the citizens' vision for Milton of balanced growth that protects and preserves the Milton so many of us have worked tirelessly to protect for so many years.

The facts and the simple truth make the choice quite clear. Mr. Bernard Wolff will have my vote on November 3 and he needs yours, too. Visit Bernard's website for more information

Elect Mr. Al Trevillyan (District 3)

Al Trevillyan has been a proactive part of this community for a long time helping to protect unincorporated Fulton long before we became a city. He recently served on the City of Milton Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) until he was taken off by his opponent because Al was holding firm on no sewer extension and maintaining current commercial and office densities in existing activity nodes versus being a proponent for expanded densities. Al Trevillyan stood firm for citizens expectations of Milton and Mr. Lusk removed him from this committee as a result. It was disturbing to read that Mr. Lusk claimed he removed Al from CPAC because of special interests. The only "special interests" Al Trevillyan has are the interests of citizens. Instead, the "special interests" of certain council members are clearly reflected in their campaign contributions. When these were brought to my attention by the many, it makes the decision as to who best will serve citizens even more clear.

Al Trevillyan will institute an Economic Development Commission to help proactively match unused commercial and office space in Milton with the types of businesses Milton residents will embrace. This is a much different approach then supporting expanded commercial, office and higher density residential for developments sake. Al supports the equestrian community along with an approach for active and passive park usage. He recognizes the importance of the equestrian component of our community not only as a quality of life enhancement for the whole of Milton, but also as a revenue generator. Al has fresh ideas that are consistent with citizens vision of Milton.

Please note, Al Trevillyan is a write-in candidate which means when you go to vote on November 3 you will have to write in his full name using a touch screen. Just sound out the name by syllables - it makes it easy. Al Tre-vill-yan. Al Tre-vill-yan will have the vote of those citizens that know what is required to stand tall for citizen interests and not those of special interests. Mr. Trevillyan will have my vote and he needs yours. Visit Al's website for more information.

Julie, I am looking forward to your race in 2 years. You think this has been fun? If Tina loses (and I think she will), along with your other 2 buddies that you got to run, what does that say about your prospects? Not much I would say.

Just wanted you to know how much I am looking forward to that one.

Anyone who has been to a Council Meeting or work session can certify that Julie is borderline insane. Her ranting and never ending performances have lost her so many of her supporters and whatever credibility she had is shot. This election is going to be the beginning of the end for this lunatic and her fledging movement.

Look at her candidates and you can see that she can't find anyone with any real talent to join. Tina is a disaster and this campaign has finally alerted the citizens to her lack of talent. She's a nice person, but she's over her head and desperate. Bernie doesn't even own a home here and Al was pulled out of the scrap heap and can't even register for the election on time. Both seemed to be nice people, but both are also over their heads regarding the issues. Playing the Julie playbook hasn't done them any favors either.

"Borderline insane?"

Julie's not even running this year, you Kool-Aid drinker!

Anonymous said...

Oh yes she is! In her controlling way. Don't be fooled. Julie is running the race.

Anonymous said...

Why would Julie endorse anyone? She is so hated in Milton. Now those people don't have a chance.

Anonymous said...

Ju-Lie.

Anonymous said...

Yes, I see the power she has over you. You just keep on ranting about her. So who's borderline insane?

Anonymous said...

I vote "no" for her!

NFP has learned that the entire slate of Milton council candidates supported by shrill moonbat councilwoman Julie Zahner-Bailey has withdrawn from the upcoming Milton council debate, apparently in protest over news coverage of embattled councilwoman Tina D’Aversa’s serious ethics troubles. Candidates D’Aversa, Al Trevillyan, and Bernard Wolff have all decided to renege on commitments to participate in the debate, apparently under orders from the domineering Zahner-Bailey. A source close to D’Aversa confirms the news and tells NFP: “Julie and Tina think this stuff (D’Aversa’s ethics complaint) is being exploited and blown up, so she and Julie agreed they wouldn’t participate if the media is going to act like this.” When asked why the other candidates bailed, the source disclosed: “Julie and Tina decided for everyone that nobody on our team should attend it (the debate).” This development confirms what NFP has been reporting for months: That Zahner-Bailey is the puppet master for a submissive and clueless crew of political bootlickers whose only purpose is to serve her every desire on the Milton council if they should somehow manage to get elected. But several observers tell NFP that they had no idea until the debate bailout just how much power Zahner-Bailey actually wields over the three spineless toadies. NFP‘s efforts to reach D’Aversa, Trevillyan, and Wolff were unsuccessful—prompting speculation that the three were tied up and handcuffed in Zahner Bailey’s basement, enduring a relentless and painful whipping from a stiff leather riding crop...Mo’ to come on this one...

There is a little bit of truth in every joke?

What is a "moonbat"?

Not sure that moonbat fits JZB.....wingnut might be better.

Julie 4 Mayor!!!!

Anonymous said...

Can you only imagine if she was the mayor?

Anonymous said...

She would be an awesome mayor!!!!! She has a backbone and he doesn't.

At what point do we come to the realization that jzb has alienated practically every political entity surrounding our community. If we expect to regain any measure of respect from our surrounding cities, our county and state government, the disruptive and antiproductive antics that jzb cultivates must be expelled from out political identy.
Any support for jzb and her "army" is simply a continued contribution to the opression and unfathomable financial burden of Fulton County. Isn't it time to focus on the real issue of our political goals, Milton County!!!! Julie, please go somewhere else.
