All:

Please be patient. Due to the limits of youtube, the D'Aversa election speech had to be broken up into various pieces. All of the video will be loaded throughout the day.

We apologize for the delay.

Is "beautifullness" a word?

Anonymous said...

To the #2 poster, I assume you are talking about YouTube?!

Anonymous said...

Tina said "the beautifullness of our city/area" in the video. I always thought it would be "beauty"...

Milton's got hmmmmers in this blog and ummmmers in the videos!

Cry us a river Tina! You would have done the exact same thing! They are trying to get votes just like you! They were probably smiling uncomfortably as all that was said but you are too blind to think of that possibility! And you dare to call them unprofessional when you made this little speach at apparently the mayors house? The same mayor who not only supports you but also supports councilmembers Lusk and Thurman in their re-election bids? Unprofessional indeed!

Bless her heart! You can feel sorry for her but I do not want to pity my elected officials... I want to respect them!

Poor Tina....she got her feelings hurt.

How does she think other people feel when she does this to them on a regular basis ??? She's a bully.

INTEGRITY .....I think not !

Tina is so sad. I am sorry; I was learning towards her until she started bashing other council members. She just needs to go away. Sorry Tina but your speech lost my vote.

Does Tina's words mean anything?

Anonymous said...

Last poster, please use correct grammar when you are criticizing other people's words!

Anonymous said...

Did Tina think she was soooooo popular that it was inconceivable that she would be in a room full of people who support someone else?

Don't we need council people that can appropriately handle situations when it is not all about them?

So it's professional for Joe Lockwood to support Karen Thurman and Bill Lusk, who openly support and are working to get her opponent Joe Longoria elected to take her position, but it is not professional for Tina to come out and support their opponents? You are a Liberal!!

Joe Lockwood is the unprofessional for coming up with his ridiculous idea to support all three of them, when he knows and everyone else knows that Bill and Karen support all out development and sewer extension, and Tina does not. He should have stayed out of it. Now he looks like the idiot. They have all made a decision and taken a road, but Lockwood is just standing on the line scratching his head, indecisive, not knowing what to do now. He made his bed, no one else did that for him. Karen and Bill are using him anyway just to get elected then they will turn on him just like they have done up until this last year, since he's been playing nicey nicey with them and voting with them. Wake up Joe!

So now that Tina has aligned with Zahner Bailey she is officially anti-development and anti-sewer?

I thought she was for mananged growth?

Wait- which way is the political wind blowing? That is where we will find Tina's position.

Anonymous said...

Liberal? Yall don't know what liberal means. You just hate them.

Anonymous said...

Tina's position is "whatever will get her elected"...and she supports parks.

That woman doesnt have the slightest clue what is going on. Heres an example, Monday night there was a city council work session and the frist thing on the agenda was historic preservation, something she claims to have supported yet she was the only council person not to make a comment instead letting the opportunist (jzb) take up around two thirds of the entire thing. Shes probably upset because Gordon Hunter was there and he supports her opponent. We need a council person that doesnt get thrown off balance like that.

I think this all needs to be fact checked.

Besides how excruciating the first 6 minutes are to watch, several of the claims she makes are just flat-out not true. Others are calculated to imply Tina deserves the credit for things she had nothing to do with. It is well known Julie does that sort of thing, but it is remarkable to see it again with Tina. I hope she doesn't get away with it.

There is something very wrong with a community where so many liars are called truthful people and worse, truthful people are called liars. At some point, this must stop. The question is, how can it be stopped and when can that get done?

It is also so unfortunate for Tina to invite and openly support the opponents to the Mayors OTHER candidates. The Mayor was gracious to invite her to his home and then she takes the opportunity to throw the Mayors other candidates under the bus in his own home. How classless and cluelees Tina.

One other Correction - Tina you were never elected - you ran unopposed in the first election.

The Mayor had a considerable opponent - someone who actually did work to help create the city - you were simply on the committee and actually did nothing. Just like you have done nothing in three years.

Tina,

Regarding the Crooked Creek event. You were not bullied or abused at the event in anyway. I was there and only a very few comments were made about Longoria. The event was not about him or you.

You just were not the center of attention. I guess that is hard to take and may seem like bullying.

If you support Crooked Creek Gating then you should have been leading the cheers and not complaining about the cheers in support of gating.

Your double speak is finally catching up with you and I am sure that is hard to deal with. Please don't make up stories. You just look and sound foolish.

The poor Mayor. He had to listen to and deal with your comments in his own home. I'll bet he was just sick.

It is time for Milton to rid itself of the problems and move forward with true professionals.

There is a HUGE I in tIna. Milton needs a collaborative council with members who regognize the power of "WE".

Vote for people who are not in it for themselves, who are looking to make this city great.

To the 2:16 poster, You asked how the lying can be stopped.

I have just started paying attention to city politics and the more I see, the more the answer is clear. We have to stop Zahner-Bailey.

She has her hand in every nasty campaign. She goes on long, wild, self-promoting rants at council meetings. She stirs up trouble everywhere she goes.

I encourage you to attend a council meeting and watch the insanity.

If we can get a council of intelligent, reasonable people. I believe we have a chance.

All very good comments. Tina just doesn't have the talent and skill set to serve on the Council. As many of you have noted, attending a Council meeting or work session is a real eye opener to Julie's dysfunction and Tina's lack of talent and leadership.

Anonymous said...

I wish everyone in Crooked Creek would see this video. It is a real eye-opener...

While I might have voted for her before, I could never support her now.

To the 9:41 poster:

Tina placed me on the Historic Committee and I am sure she has full confidence in the decisions we have made along with the Planning Commission.

Perhaps it hasn't occured to you that any questions she may have had were asked by other council members.

Gordon Hunter was there for only the Historic Preservation conversation and he and I both left shortly after the next presentation began.

To the rest of you:

Maybe if some of you cowards would be bold enough to put your names along with your comments you'd think twice about what you are saying.

I have experienced nothing but the utmost professionalism from Tina in the nearly 3 years I have known her.

Nobody is perfect and to expect such perfection is a waste of you time.

I am proud to be her appointee on two committees.

Looks like a nice house!

I was very disappointed in the Tina speech. It's like, I'll show you Bill Lusk and Karen Thurman. You did'nt walk out with me at Crooked Creek you stayed. (This I think was the right thing to do) Maybe they did'nt see it as a slap in Tinas face. You cannot control what actions others do. I think it would have been unprofessional for them to walk out with her. But she showed them!!!! I'll just support the other two candidates and I will announce this at the party the Mayor is throwing in my behalf. Joe Lockwood! Wake up!!!! What an embarassment for you and Dawn. She had NO RIGHT to do that at your house. I hope when you get in that voting booth you vote for Joe Longoria. If you don't know what you believe in then don't vote for either one. They will never know!!!!!! And by the way, who were the 2 campaign donors the walked out of your house after her little speech??? The rumor is out there, so we will find out. And yes Joe Lockwood, why does everyone say that Bill and Karen have developers supporting them, when there was a developer listed on your invitation. What is the difference?????? You need to back off from throwing your support to anyone of the council running in the future. I don't think it is the appropriate thing to do as Mayor of Milton!

Somebady help me understand this.

It is wrong for a "developer" to contribute to good people who are willing to serve, if elected. As long as there is rule compliance, transparency, no untoward influence....that is "bad"??

But it is ok to have illegal contributions, engage in bribes offering what belongs to the taxpayer anyway?

Come on.

Those who think a legal contribution to an official buys them anything, just reveal how cheaply they sell themselves. As hard as it is to see the world other than in your corrupt glasses, there actually are some honest people in Milton.

We need to keep the two, get a new one and dump the crooked diva.
