A tree grows in Milton.

Tree Committee, City Officials help with Arbor Day event.

The City of Milton celebrated Arbor Day March 20 as city staff, elected officials, volunteers and representatives from the Georgia Forestry Commission planted trees and unveiled the city's "Tree City USA" award at Fire Station No. 41 on Arnold Mill Road.

The ceremony, a product of Milton's volunteer Tree Committee and Arborist Mark Law, kicked off at 10 a.m. The Georgia Forestry Commission's Joe Burgess was on hand to give the city its "Tree City USA" awards and raise a flag commemorating the city's dedication to tree preservation.

If Julie was a little more interested in her family rather than getting her picture taken with a tree she might not be getting a divorce right now!

I teach with Julie and I don't believe she is having any issues with her husband?

Nothing suprizes me with her.

I am amazed by some of the people posting here, and their apparent inability to understand basic principles of right and wrong.
On one hand you have those starting vicious unfounded rumors that one council member is having marital problems and it’s probably the same group that justify or sugar-coat the factual misdeeds of another council member.

I would like to thank Julie for being with us Saturday morning. She was the only council person to show up. How dare you people criticize her for being there. We have volunteered long and hard for 2 years on the tree committee. What have you posters volunteered for?

Personal issues have nothing to do with this cover story.

If you only knew? She left her family that day only to get her picture in the press, at your expense. How selfish?

Yes, she is selfless.
