DATE: Saturday / 2.6.10
TIME: 6pm
LOCATION: Bethany Road between Providence & Mayfield Roads.
OFFENSE: Speeding in an open road neighborhood.

OVERVIEW: The video above was filmed as I was walking back from checking my mailbox. You will notice at the beginning that the individual is full throttle but then immediately slows down once he sees he is on camera. As he passes my residence, you will notice his brake lights are still on. Once past, he punches
it again around a curve that has a "Blind Curve / 30mph" sign in place.
Bethany Road's normal speed limit is 40mph. Bethany has been the location of numerous fatal wrecks over the years with the last one being in March of 2009. This open road neighborhood is home to 44 Milton families. We have young mothers with new borns and 95 year old grandmothers who still drive who reside in this residential node.

Since Milton's incorporation, six fatalities have transpired in our open road neighborhoods - none have taken place in our subdivision neighborhoods.

This information has been forwarded to the Milton Police Department and the Milton City Council.
