After reading the many comments posted here regarding Milton Councilwoman Karen Thurman and the unethical businesses that she and her family are listed as investors with, I decided to do a little research. I have heard for years that she and her family are heavily invested with development. It appears that her family has now "invested" in Cherokee County. We would greatly appreciate if someone that knows her would ask if her family could please pay their past due taxes of $10,277.59, on the 16.73 acres across from Allmond Tree Farms.

The great thing about Cherokee County is that all land transactions including all loan information is available on line for free. It's great because we can really see what developers are up to.

Gee, if she can't pay $10,000+ in taxes, how will she ever pay the State of Tennessee the $10.8 million owed for crooking military families with her unlicensed loan company?

I called her and asked her to pay. She said - oops, thanks for the heads up, I'll head up there today and pay....so you can stop posting this on every thread - ok?

You would think as an accountant she would understand that taxes should be paid on time, not over two months late.

She probably was too busy and didn't have time to do it, but she and her hubby had time to attend the ethics hearing! What does that say about her priorities and involvement?

Someone sounds a litter bitter.

Anonymous said...

Doesn't sound bitter at all. Just observant.

I thought you said that Thurman was going to pay her $10,277.59 tax bill today. I guess it wasn't that important to her.

I guess she's just another DEAD-BEAT politician/developer!!!

California called and said if Karen owes any money, it belongs to them.

i said she would pay as a joke dope :-). Tim - can you start a seperate blog called "mindless complaints about the same topics over and over again" for these folks to whine about the 3 or 4 things that come up on every single thread - and then the rest of us can talk about current items....please???

Thurman's case in California bankruptcy court IS current. So who's the dope?

I love the developer bashing here. Every single person here lives in something developed by a developer. Or did you just clear your inherited property with a stick or rake and build you hut out of twigs and mud? Maybe I misunderstood and you are all talking about software developers…in that case please continue because they are evil.

Have you read the foreclosures lately? A lot of big developers are going down based on their own greed and the loosey-goosey loan system. Macauley is the only large developer who had the guts to publicly admit to his greed and blame himself for his devastating loss.

Many innocent small business people, construction workers, home owners, etc. are being taken down with 'em. Admidst this devastation, your argument about who built our houses is pointless.

Maybe she's related to Tim Geitner, the tax cheat, or just looks up to him.

Or JT Adams, John Weiland, or Ron Wallace told her to do it and she said "how high"!

Or Katie reeves, or Jan Jones, or Mike Bodker, or Brandon Beach told her to do something and she jumps, and then has to say "well I talked to (blah blah blah) today and they said ........"!
