When is Ole Blind Dog going to join feed the cops program?

I noticed 4 Milton police officers down at the Olde Blind Dog on Saint Pat's day from like 5:00 o'clock on. Were they on duty or were they being paid off the clock? If they were on duty and there was an emergency there would have been NO WAY they could have gotten through the mess in Crabapple due to the EXTRA LARGE turnout at the resturant. Can someone look into this for us? Tim I know you support our fire and police how about you checking on this and getting an answer for us.

Thank you for your question.

While I am pretty positive that the Olde Blind Dog hires our officers off duty, I have contacted the Milton Police Department to confirm.

As soon as I get an answer, I will post it here.

Thanks.

All:

We did hear back from the Milton Police Department.

They confirm the following:

" They were off duty hires. The proprietor of the Old Blind Dog had hired 5 off duty officers to assist with and to ensure the safety of the patrons at the restaurant on that evening."

Many thanks to Kathey Fies of the Milton Police Department for answering this so quickly.
