Figure out who Kunz is associated withand which council members are promoting him once again to run against Julie. They don't want Julie on council because she gets in their way of doing whatbthey really want to do in this town. Kunz signs are already in Wallacea front yard, over by Crooked Creek, on empty developer lots, etc. Do the math, connect the dots. Why is the city center and city hall been pushed so hard to be put in the worst intersection in our town. What development is sitting there empty, who owns a business over there? But we Miltonians are too stupid to figure it out let alone show up at the polls to stop
those who say they don't want development but in reality their plans are to do just that so they can benefit later. It is always always about money. We screwed up by allowing Thurman and lusk to staynthis long and if Longoria hadn't run all those folks in crooked creek wouldn't have voted let alone voted for Thurman and Lusk and helped put them in office. Do younthink the folks in CC care about the lrge propery owners, the equestrian properties? They are getting their roads paved using our tax money, and then their gate, as Longoria promised he'd do.

Has the second poster ever really though about the real reason people want Julie out? She has just worn people out and is totally ineffective. If she says the sky is blue then the other six, yes even Alan, would pass a resolution saying it is green, just to shut her up. That is why she will eventually harm what is so near and dear to most Milton citizens. Do yourself a favor and watch recordings of her in meetings.

Even her own husband said he dosent see how the council and mayor put up with her and he only supports her because it keeps her away from home so the family can get things done!

Why did Julie support all the same things then, if it is so bad? Where else did she want city hall?

Anonymous said...

Who's paying for that highly-paid consultant from Florida?

Anonymous said...

Probably people who want to see a change.

OMG 12:21 poster, if you are joking this is hilarious, but if not it is down right sad. Does her family really have to live like that?

I work at the same school as her and that is what everyone says?

I would vote for him if it was a football coach election. I would also consider letting him manage my money when he has more experience.

He doesn't seem to have any knowledge of, or experience with, City governance, so I could not vote for him for City Council.

His focus seemed to be on increasing commercial development as a solution to the City's problems. Its unclear whether he was advocating increasing commercial zoning or trying to get businesses to move to Milton to existing space, but even doubling commercial tax revenues would not likely have a significant impact on overall revenues. It doesn't seem to make sense.

All Julie cares about is not cutting down trees and Go Green! Let's try somebody new and get some business done.

Anonymous said...

So, let's clear-cut everything and Go Brown.

At least we would have some tax revenue!!!

It's interesting that the 6:43 poster thinks Matt Kunz would make a good football coach.

The key characteristic of a good football coach is LEADERSHIP. Since our City was formed, the key quality that has been lacking in our Mayor and Council is LEADERSHIP. I'm voting for Matt Kunz because I want someone on the Council who is willing to step up and be a LEADER.

One Milton said...

A good football coach also understands the importance of TEAM WORK. Matt Kunz gets it. The "One Milton" theme of his campaign says it all.

Julie Zahner Bailey, on the other hand, is completely divisive. Over and over again, she relentlessly pushes positions that are in her own self-interest and she argues endlessly until she gets what she wants or, if she can't, she argues and stalls and questions and throws up hurdles so that no progress can be made. This is no way to run a town.

Didn't take long for him to punt his clean campaign promise.

Anonymous said...

So all he lacks is knowledge and experience? Perfect.

Coaching kids is different than governing a city.

If Milton becomes another Dunwoody, it would not increase tax revenue in the mid or long run.

I'm voting for ABJ (Anyone But Julie)

Anonymous said...

Is the Old Blind Dog restaurant connected to local politicians?

Anonymous said...

Just for candidate selection, funding, organization, and management.

JZB has ignored the enormous cost to Milton's tax base and has pushed her anti-business-at-any-cost agenda way too far. That is why the Milton business community wants her out.

Watch the video. It's not just Old Blind Dog and other Crabapple businesses. It's The Barn Bottle Shop and Birmingham Crossroads businesses too.

This guy's campaign smacks of special interest. These businesses feel they are entitled to bypass local plans and ordinances in their self-serving attempts to spoil our Milton. I know where not to shop.

Anonymous said...

OK, let's all support Julie's campaign by boycotting all the businesses in Milton. Good idea.

Anonymous said...

I hope she prints some more stupid I love Julie t'shirts for all the dumb women to wear around school.

Why keep repeating that his father was a professional football player and that he played football at Notre Dame? Interesting, but not relevant. Minor celebrity has no value in hard decision making.

What has he done that prepares him for this job?

Time for a change? Its a catchy phrase and sounds like crafting from his paid political consultant. I would like to know what change he is talking about - agreeing with his backers and having quick unanimous votes on everything?

We don't need any career politicians in Milton. She has done her part and many don't like her. Yes change would be good and meetings with calm normal people too. As far as Kunz and football it shows he is a team person and maybe have a better approach to working with others as a group.
