HYA spring registration now open.

Three-part sign-up ends Dec. 29.

MILTON, Ga., Nov. 2, 2011 - Online registration for Hopewell Youth Association's (HYA) spring 2012 recreational baseball season is now open at the group's Web site, www.hopewellbaseball.org.

This page is also accessible by visiting www.hopewellbaseball.org and clicking on the "Register Online' link to the upper left.

Please note the registration process is split into three parts: The first, for Milton residents only, is now open. The second, which begins Monday, Nov. 14, is for HYA veteran players who do not reside in Milton and city residents. The third, kicking off Monday, Dec. 12, is open registration for everyone regardless of residence or previous league history.

Registration will close Thursday, Dec. 29. A $35 late fee will be charged for any registrations after this date. Each phase of the registration is open to all ages.

"Based on the success and growth of our baseball program we urge you to register as soon as possible," said Scott Stachowski, President of HYA.

Important 2011 season dates: (Dates are subject to change)
** Saturday, Jan. 15: Coaching meeting, clinic

** Saturday, Jan 22: Skill assessment day and uniform fitting

** Sunday, Jan. 23: Skill assessment day makeup (if rain on Jan. 22)

** Sunday, Jan. 29: Draft night for all leagues

** Saturday, Feb. 4: First practice

** Saturday, March 3: First game

** Saturday, May 14: Hopewell Day and in-park tournament begins

HYA, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, is a non-profit organization that schedules and programs the baseball activities at Milton's Bell Memorial Park through a joint agreement with the City of Milton.
