MILTON - I love it when people think "outside the box." It is amazing to see what results can happen when individuals take initiative to do things differently. Nine times out of ten, the return is better.

Such is the case regarding Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails. After Manager Jimmy Carter and head Chef Boyd Rose took over two years ago, this Milton landmark has flourished with creativity being the norm.

Not only do they have fish that is so fresh it was swimming in the Gulf 48 hours prior, they decided this year to go all out and grow some of their own produce. Thus, "Milton's Acre" was born!

Located adjacent to the actual restaurant and sitting behind an old farm house on Birmingham Highway, this plot of land is set to produce everything from corn, to heirloom tomatoes to various types of squash.

Having been a gardener since I was eight, I applaud Milton's for their focus on healthier and better food for their guests.

If you haven't stopped in, give Jimmy a call. I know he would be more than happy to give you a tour. He can be reached at (770) 817-0161.
