On May 1st, Birmingham United Methodist Church (BUMC) will host a fun, non-competitive fundraising Walk for Water to give the Milton community an opportunity to make a difference.The parishioners plan to raise $25,000, the cost of a rugged water filtration and purification system manufactured by Water Missions International. This solar powered unit will go to Haiti and turn unsafe water sources into clean drinking water for more than 3,000 people a day for the next twenty years.
You can help by raising funds, volunteering or donating. The fun begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 1 at the BUMC Amphitheater located at 15770 Birmingham Highway.
