MILTON - In a crowd of an estimated 70 plus, members of the Milton City Council heard arguments for and against the proposed cell towers which would be located on Mountain Road, Hopewell Road, and New Providence Road.
Council held an "Executive Session" thirty minutes prior to the 6pm meeting. It was quite obvious from many in the audience that as soon as these applications came up, council was simply going through the motions having already decided to deny.
No word from the folks at T-Mobile, but if history has any bearing, a lawsuit in the distant future is almost a guarantee.
On a side note, both Fox and CBS News were there. As soon as we have their segments, we will post them here.

WSB TV reported this morning that the cell tower on New Providence is approved as long as the tower was not higher than 100 feet. Which report is correct, Tim?
Yeah! Now we get sued and have to spend thousands of $$'s we need for cops on lawyers.
They approved the third one...
Oh we are going to be sued. I will stake money on it!

They can try and sue, however, T-Mobile did not complete the applications as requested. They were given notice at the Zoning Commission meeting to have it completed by April 9th and they did not comply. Incomplete applications can warrant a denial.
And if they had approved all of them, you'd be complaining of that. Especially when the next 4 applications go in, and one of them lands next to your house or subdivision. Then you'll pay attention and get involved, or move.
