History Class.
"Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it."

Is there a way to forward this to the Mayor and Council? They need reminding....
Yeah, I dont think some of them actually look out for the majority of our citizens but only for special interest groups.
Maybe Obama needs to read this along with all elected officials.
Council and Mayor only look out for themselves and their cronies.
We the people lost our rights when we voted yes for the city of Milton and then secured our doom by the jokers we have put in office.
Council and Mayor terms should be two years. Jan re-write the charter.
Nice quote, but Adams governed as a Federalist who opposed Jefferson. Remember Jefferson and the Bill of Rights?
I didn't vote for Milton.......knew it would be a big mess. It is!
If I recall correctly, believe there was less than 900 voted nay. Unfortunately we were beaten by a very large margin.
