Milton County Conservatives proudly announce their endorsement of David Belle Isle for State Senate D-56.

Mr. Belle Isle is supported due to his conservative voting record. As Alpharetta City Councilman, Mr. Belle Isle was one of the only members of council to vote NO twice for the City of Alpharetta to receive federal stimulus dollars incorrectly described as a grant, citing the difference of required debt repayment by future generations. He proposed zero-based budgeting for the city, combined with a provision that departments project operating at 85% of revenue for advance evaluation of costs to taxpayers. He fought successfully for tax cuts for homeowners. With the core values of "limited government and local control" he has led the charge toward re-creation of Milton County with his group Milton County Rising.

As a State Senator, Mr. Belle Isle expects to carry these principles of fiscal responsibility to the capitol, including balancing Georgia's budget without relying on federal dollars and working toward elimination of state capital gains. He will continue the fight for local control by supporting further efforts to become Milton County and by advocating that Georgia Department of Transportation board members be elected by residents rather than appointed by the state.

David Belle Isle is the true conservative in the race for State Senate D-56 that comprises NW Fulton County. Visit www.belleisleforsenate.com and learn more about why he has the support of the conservative base. Then join the movement to help him get elected, and vote on July 20 for the candidate who will vote in accordance with his principles and yours in Atlanta!

Sounds like "Milton County Conservatives" is an organization that David dreamed up. Has anyone ever heard of such an organization?

Tim, if you publish a campaign statement attributed to an organization, you should require the name(s) of the leaders. Never heard of them. not even on Peach blog.

By the way, I though Smith and Burkhalter "led the charge" for Milton County. Belle Isle is grasping at coat tails. But when you don't have any material, always use the feds and Fulton County as your whipping boy. It always works with the general public.

Thanks for your suggestions.

As you might imagine, we post information that comes from the candidates.

We do not change it at all.

Therefore, we do have instances such as what you are refering come up from time to time.
