As part of the Milton Police Department's ongoing fundraising efforts for Special Olympics of Georgia's Law Enforcement Torch Run, on April 10 officers will be taking part in "Cuffed for a Cause" at the Walmart on Windward Parkway from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event features a single officer who is handcuffed to a treadmill for eight hours in a public place. He or she will keep moving the entire time, and other officers will take donations from passers by.
Anytime Fitness and Extreme Nutrition are also sponsoring the event.
