Milton to consider nearly $30,000 in community improvements.

The Milton City Council will consider spending close to $30,000 for improvements at two public facilities when it meets Wednesday.

Council members will weigh whether to spend $14,000 for demolition and construction of four dugouts at Bell Memorial Park. Officials said the current block dugouts are in disrepair and block the view of fans.

Officials will also consider two contracts totaling $15,000 for engineering and design work on Bethwell Community Center.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 13000 Deerfield Parkway.

What is Bethwell? What happened to the building in Crabapple? I saw a writeup in the AJC over the weekend. Is Bethwell the same place?

Before the invasion, most communities had a clubhouse, built by the county.

This clubhouse was built to serve the communities of Bethany and Hopewell, thus the name BETHWELL.

Why doesnt the City ask residents or community groups to do a fundraiser for these projects at Bell Memorial instead of using tax payer money on this one. Why doesn't MGG do a fundraiser??

I think we'd rather see the money in our City spent on intersection improvements at some of our dangerous and deadly intersections in Milton as Council's first priority.
