2nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Takes Place.

MILTON - Residents once again gathered to witness the official Christmas Tree lighting which took place at the corner of Highway Nine and Webb Road this past Saturday.

Helping to kick off the season included the singing of Christmas Carols as well as a visit from good ol' Saint Nic himself; this year escorted by some of Milton's finest from the fire and police departments.

The tree, donated in 2009 from members of www.Protectmilton.com, was lit with numerous white lights making it sparkle among the dark and chilly night sky.

To view some of the photos from this year's event, please check out the following courtesy of Accessmilton.com!

How come everyone was on the other side of the fence this year, seemed like they were keeping us from the tree. It was nicer last year because you could go right up to the tree and take a picture with your family.

Did anyone go to Alpharetta's tree lighting the next day? Maybe Jason Wright and Cindy the parks director should check out how it's done correctly next time.

Also was it necessary to give Jason's bio before he MC'd the event? Please, timing is everything people! How about a guest MC and a guest tree lighter, like a child next year to light the tree? What an honor that would be for a kid! Make it a contest in the schools to win the honor!

This was so wrong. Bad weather, cold and rain, plus our parks director took to the mike and spoke (too long) about Jason. Out of place and in poor taste. This is the Christmas season and joy in children's eyes. It was much better last year with our Santa going from child to child plus all allowed to watch the lighting of the tree up close. Not be fenced away from the beautiful tree and singing. We missed the first Santa.

That tree is off balance, looks like it's about to fall over, maybe they were trying to "protect" Milton.

Last year's Santa was the owner of Access Milton, Tim Enloe. Access Milton is in the business of stirring up trouble. Access Milton takes credit for all photographs and news published by the City of Milton. Access Milton states that they do this because the City of Milton "stole" their horse logo. An eye for an eye type attitude or two wrongs make a right. Access Milton's Santa is no longer appropriate for children, or Jolly.

Hey Buddy - What in the heck are you talking about and who are you to judge?????
This year our city paid for a Santa in a shabby suit that was not up to the task. On top of this, the parents and children had to endure a long winded talk while standing in cold rain about Jason. Give us a break!! Last year was terrific and so was Santa. All donated time and the people really enjoyed the evening.
Just look at pictures of last year and this.

8:37... Crabapple is a better place for a "jolly" Christmas celebration. How 'bout you look at the photos. Case dismissed.

Didn't think Jason looked at Tim's site, but I guess he does, and he posts comments as well.

Tim go back to the registration to blog. These bloggers are borrish not to mention eat up with it.

Want to have Christmas only at Crabapple, snooty person. What those that live over in the Hwy 9 Deerfield area don't count as citizens. So nice you are.

I'm glad we have a Christmas Tree. My kids enjoyed it last year, and this year. It doesn't matter which year is better or who did what, what matters is the memories you create with your families. Thankful to those who created this event last year for the entire community to cherish for years. Nice gesture, by nice people, not matter what a bunch of scrooges think.

AccessMilton is the only way people in our city can be heard. Going to council results in nodding of heads and nothing done for any given individual or group. The problems are within the walls of city hall and those who warm seats. Obviously blogger 8:26PM is Jason. "Stirring up trouble", you say? Come now, the truth is our present leaders are the ones "no longer appropriate". Thanks for letting us know that Tim was the first Santa. He was terrific and so is AccessMilton.

Access Milton has a posse.

Dear post 8:26 PM aka Jason W.,
Talk about stirring up trouble - just how do you figure? You are the one stirring up trouble. Think about this - how much have YOU DONATED to our city? Believe the sum is zero. Now think about how much Lisa C. and Tim E. have DONATED to the city. Waiting for your reply.

We still have not heard from Jason.

Yes! Let us hear what Jason has DONATED. Speak up.
