Hopewell middle receives recycling grant.

By Accessmilton.com

Dr. Lenora Patterson, right, the new principal of Hopewell Middle School, recently received a check from Cindy Eade, left, sustainability coordinator for the City of Milton, for the purchase of additional recycling bins throughout the school as part of Milton's Environmental Education Program.

Last year, the school embarked on a single-stream recycling program, increasing the volume of recyclables collected. Now students and teachers can recycle paper, cardboard, aluminum and plastic in their classroom bins, which are picked up weekly by the school's Eco Explorers Team members.

The grant program has been extended until Sept. 15 for additional schools to apply.
For more information, please contact Cindy Eade at cindy.eade@cityofmiltonga.us or call 678-242-2509.
