how come everyone in this town can get a license to sell booze but the wine store at the Birmingham Publix? Double standards around this town! i'd rather purchase liquor from the wine store then the bottle shop next to the dirty shell station, yuck! That guy needs to wash the floors in there once in a lifetime, and how about some operational pumps. If another gas station were closer he'd go out of business for sure.

I don't believe the person you are referring to owns the restaurant, try one of karen or bill's buddies, you know who, come on guess!

Pretty sure most of the residents of Milton are very concerned about dirty floor and non-operational pumps at the Shell station.

pretty sure the wine store owners knew they couldnt when they signed the lease

Yep, thanks to JZB and her nonstop fight to put conditions on things if she cant deny them. Back fired and we can thank her for the dirty liquor store because if the wine store wasnt conditioned then the liquor store could have been denyed.

The city gives licenses to those who ask. The Bottle Shop should petition for a license - and argue that they are only seeking what others have been given. Based on history, the council would grant the license - as a variance to current zoning.
Then the Shell Station would have something to worry about. They may even clean the floors.

Maybe the FLOOR police should be called in and let them clean up this mess.
