Please. Are you guys serious?

The things that finally brought him down were seriously abusive. I am not going to say anything that may risk an open case, because the fine people involved deserve justice. I am going to have a good laugh at the expense of his defenders on this board when it all comes to light, though.

Obviously, he can only get fired for one thing, but the list of offenses that his old boss covered-up are long and varied. He finally either pushed it too far, there was nobody left to cover or the number of issues grew to be too great.

So we are blaming Katie Reeves for what Mr. Trussell did? Why don't you run then?

Someone please step in and at least make Katie Reeves work for it! There are so many talented people out there.
Consider it!!

Appoint Lynn Johnston?? Are you kidding? We need fresh perspective. She never addressed my child's issue at Summit and just never wanted to get her hands dirty. Seems like that carried to BFES. If she was so great, why wasn't she already "appointed" as a principal somewhere?

I agree with several of the posts regarding getting involved in making our community better. There were a handful of parents at BFES who made it their mission to derail the train before school even started. These are the same parents who are in the community complaining at North Park about softball, Hopewell about baseball, AYFA about football etc, etc, etc. I really liked the idea of one of these people taking over for Katie Reeves! Step up, then you could find out just how unreasonable, and what a pain in the butt your little group of people are! Make a difference, step up, and take charge! Alpha and Omega, right! I have listened for years from you whiners about how things should be run, and how things should be corrected, as a parent involved in various sports activities. You sit on the side lines and tell the coaches how things should be done, but don’t want to get out there and help. You would rather sit on the side and filet the people trying to make your child’s life better, all the while positioning to get you son, or daughter higher up the food chain. The coach should do this or that, but you never step up and get involved. Back to BFES, are you on the PTA, and I don’t mean paying the $25.00 or whatever. I mean doing things, paying in sweat equity, like Patti, Tanya, Amy, Shephanie, and Jennfier to name just a few. Was your name mentioned? I am guessing not! Did you put in the hours of dedication, planning, and executing events, or is that “fluff” too. Stroke a check to get things done, now that’s a virtue isn’t it. What leaders you are being in front of your children., buy your way to the top. If you aren’t getting exactly what you want, when you want it, and how you want it then it isn’t right. Rules simply do not matter do they, unless they happen to benefit you at that given moment? And that could change if it suddenly does not benefit your circumstance tomorrow, right? It won’t matter who becomes the new Principal or AP because if you aren’t getting your spoiled little way then your preprogrammed button on your cell phone will be calling the Superintendents office at the BOE. Hmmm, lead by example.

What in the world are you talking about?

You know who you remind me of? A guy named Chris (clicky, clicky) introduced here by Jimmy Kimmel.

So what if Mr. Trussel manipulated funds. If he did he never lined his own pockets. It was to provide great teachers position so that they could be in the classroom, teaching the students. So what if a teacher was hired under a different title. Are we really complaining that he gave a former "teacher of the year" with years of classroom experience a job? The dismissal of Trussell opened a can of worms for people who had personal gripes with him and they, u know who u are, jumped on the band wagon. You don't think being in ed for almost 30 and a principal for that long you won't have any disgruntled employees?
--BTW teachers of the year are only nominated by their peers. They are chosen from members of the community, other administrators from different schools, etc.-- I know I would rather have an experienced teacher working with my kids. I remember hearing that he hired people under different "titles" because there was funding for them like "secretary" when there were no funds for "teacher" positions. He used them in the classroom to work directly with the students. Maybe this world would be a better place if everyone took opportunities presented to them and made positive uses out of them instead of fearing the consequences by doing everything by the book. If it were benefitting the kids why not? Tough decisions made by a smart person. Now that is leadership. How can you hang him for that? --
--BTW Every school has a hospitality coordinator for staff functions. This is usually made up by a committee of teaching staff and dreaded by teachers so Carol was probably doing the other teachers a favor by taking on this task herself. --Grow up people. I dare you to do better parents @ BFE. Oh yeah and to the idiot who posted that they know more and can teach better than the teachers, HOMESCHOOL!

So what if Trussell tried to hire teachers he knew were good. I'd close my eyes if he was suppose to hire a bookeeper but decided she could do some of that but "really" use her time teaching the kids. Maybe we'd have better teachers in the schools. To the idiot who said he/she knew more than the teachers and could do better....I believe YOU would call that HOMESCHOOL!
