The video above was recorded on Thursday, August 18, 2010 at 8pm. This individual not only broke the law speeding, he also passed on a double yellow line. For those unaware, the double yellow lines represent a no passing zone.
In regards to the oncoming traffic flashing their lights, there was a Milton Officer who had just turned out of the Trotter's Ridge Subdivision headed north bound.
Some simple facts: Hagood Road is home to 14 families while Bethany Road is home to over 40.
We have emailed all of council in addition to Police Chief Harrell as well as City Manager Lagerbloom requesting a response for Accessmilton.com on this video.
If and when we receive replies, we will post them here.

To all you other ***holes who flashed your lights, I hope you realize that by you doing that you're breaking the law.
See, you're the type of element that we don't want living here. You complain when you get a ticket that you've rightfully earned, and think you're doing the nice thing by warning people, but all you're doing is keeping the road unsafe for yourselves.
Milton Police can't be everywhere all the time, sorry Tim, that's reality and City Council can't do squat about it, even with 10 new officers on the road. People need to take personal responsibility.
I love seeing people pulled over in Milton. It's not about raising money from speeding tickets, it's about keeping families safe.
Glad to see you have a co-pilot now. Maybe Ginger's head hitting the dash at the stop sign is proof for the Police department that you made a completed stop. hah!
To the jerk on the motorcycle, please slow down and stay safe, for yourself and for others in Milton. GNR may sound bitter, but I am hopeful that he doesn't mean that he wants stronger police enforcement and tragic death to all who speed.
For those residents that flash your lights warning of an upcoming police car, I say thank you for the heads up. I appreciate your neighborly gesture and as we all can attest to, everyone slows down when this is done. I also know that just because you give your neighbors a warning, doesn't mean that you do not take responsibility for your actions.
What I can agree with Mr. GNR on, is if you get a traffic ticket, then you should take full responsibility. The Milton Police force is not a Gestapo organization out trying to harass you and your teenage children. Remember, if you drive the speed limit, then you will never receive a speeding ticket.
Sorry 1:36, but I'm going to have to lean more towards GNR's line of thinking. Certainly don't wish anyone to die, but idiots on motorcycles sometimes drive like they want to.

If you aren't afraid, I'm certainly open to a debate with Access Milton filming it.
Quite a swift edit to remove the oncoming emergency vehicle. Wow, I almost missed the fact, but Tim was on top of it ... First pass at the video, I am looking at the emergency lights, next thing I know, video was edited to remove the few seconds before the speeding motorcyclist. Had to go to my browser buffer to recover the original video ... Tim, you are supposed to pull over and stop if possible... Now, begs the question, why wast Tim-Cam on BEFORE the motorcyclist passed him? If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit.
"Tim-cam" was on because he was tailing us from Hopewell, to Redd, to Hagood reving his engine and attempting to pass. Thus, we knew something was coming.
Also, we turned the camera off as we thought he was long gone. When the ambulance came by, we pulled over and saw him on the side of the road as well, and turned the camera back on.
We did pull over and stop...that is when we started filming again.
Drop in any time and I am happy to show you the total video without the text. It is still in my camera.
We just added the text in the middle to relay that people live on that road. We figured when we started filming again would be the right spot instead of the video jumping from one segment to the next.

I hope the police are not chasing down some speeder or responding to an accident the day you need them. Then you'll be the first to complain not enough cops.
Kudos to Travis for standing by his word and his willigness to defend it. Video debates on issues affecting our Milton might be a good way to figure out solutions to the many issues before us.

What's the matter with us people? Good point! I am not sure where I got this wording from, but I'll just throw it into the mix...
