Special Thanks to Milton Resident Kathleen Smith for this information.
Dear Friends:
The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System has set a schedule of 37 public forums to serve as an opportunity for citizens to learn about the Library System’s Facility Master Plan and provide suggestions as to how the library in their community might be programmed. Library staff members facilitating the meetings will ask for input on system wide services as well as comments about the new or renovated library planned for their community, including recommended sites for new libraries. Citizens will be encouraged to make comments about any of the existing libraries or new library construction at all of the meetings.
The first of the 37 meetings is scheduled for Thursday, September 13, 2007, at 7 p.m. at the South Fulton Branch Library. The second meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2007, at the Rico Cultural Center. This forum is called the Chattahoochee Hill Country Forum on the attached list of public forums.

Please help us spread the word about these opportunities for the community to express their ideas about the planned new or renovated libraries. For your convenience, I am attaching the Executive Summary of the Library Facilitiy Master plan that you have received previously. As always, thanks for your support!
(P.S. The Facility Master Plan will be funded separately from the 2008 Fulton County Budget. I will be sending information about the public hearings on the 2008 Fulton County budget as soon as I get it. As you know, those hearings are usually held in October.)
