MILTON, Ga. —
The Georgia Bureau of investigation is looking into an officer-involved shooting in Milton.
Police said it happened at about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday night at a townhouse on Morris Road.
Police told Channel 2's Mike Petchenik they responded to the home after friends called 911 to report that Jeff Hamilton, 43, made threats to himself and others on his Facebook page.
When officers arrived, Hamilton pulled a gun on them and he was shot twice, police said. He's in critical condition at North Fulton Hospital.
Police said Chad Taylor, the lieutenant who fired the shots, is on paid leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
