I hope thay deny that school. We need Julie more than ever now!
Typical BOE. They are asking to bend the rules once again. If it is not kicking people out of their homes, it is impeading our water ways.
By the way, did you know that the area they plan on using for the new high school is actually SMALLER than the area that the old MHS has.
Of course, logical people would knock down the old and rebuild a new. Then again, we are dealing with the board of socialists.

Why do they need to encroach into the streams, for what reason, what are they doing? Is that going to set a precedence that when they build schools in Milton they are going to be disturbing all the streams if they get away with this one? What's the deal? If a private business were asking to do so, the Council would probably say no. Look what Weiland did to that stream, he ruined it,and got a slap on the hand because he's a big developer out here. Once again, the law shouldn't favor government entities or big developers, let's see what Council does with this one!
I dont believe the council will weigh in on this matter.
Encroachments are requested when developers need more land for their plans. This site is too small for a high school, especially
when there is always the expectation that athletic facilities should be equal to those in established high schools of the area.
I agree with the above poster, srew the schools and the kids. Like the poster I have no kids and am committed not to ever have any.
Gee, where is "Protect Milton" now?
Oh, she already finished her house.
And where is Julie Bailey in all this? Why hasent she mounted her troops to fight this issue. I voted for her to protect us from this kind of stuff but I now see how she really is, just a lying politician. I will not make the mistake again!
Julie hasn't taken a position ever on the school.
Exactly!
Julie doesn't want the school on or near Birmingham hwy. She is happy with the site on Bethany/Cogburn. She was the one who helped close the deal between Reeves and the developers.
Will the high school have a riding trail on it like Birminghman Falls?
