But Gordon said he had no special interests groups, oh, he doesn't, but there some supporting him who are attached to a special interest group.
Oh, and as far as making Milton all it can be, I thought we all just wanted to be left alone, you know, as is, status quo! So is he for development?? Gordon was, so is Karen Thurman...apple far from the tree thing, somebody else said that on another blog.
You're just another freaking nasty one. Get outta town. I swear you people make me want to move. Such bad energy. Can you just imagine if everyone worked for the greater good. Sometimes I wish I had just moved here. Just driving around taking in the magnificent beauty of it all, the horse pastures and farms, all wrapped in my ignorant bliss... Imagine, ahhhh, that's better now.
Kind of curious about trashing Gordon. What did he do to anyone? He seems as even, kind and fair as anyone in town. Is he on the hit list now? Educate us please.
I agree with the blogger two up, in that Gordon is a very nice individual who seems to care about the overall good of Milton. Regarding the special interest column in the second blog, if you are going to make that comment then you should specifically list those special interests. Otherwise, it's just a another vague accusation.
He has a nice home and 25 acres on a dirt road {Wood Rd} on which he operates a Christmas tree farm. In 2008 paid less than $2000 property tax, county and city combined.
Prior to city hood, if my memory is correct, he was part of a group that unsuccessfully petitioned Fulton County to gate Wood Rd, contending road was unsafe due to cut thru traffic.
When one chooses to live on a dirt road, he should accept the liabilities, dust and rough surface, along with the assets. However, this is not the case, the county and now the city has been lobbied to keep down the dust, maintain smooth surface and the road has speed breakers. The city has stated that maintenance cost for dirt roads are very expensive. NOTE: Wood Rd is not the only one that receives these services.
He ran an unsuccessful campaign against JZB for city council. He supported Roger Santi, who lost his attempt to unseat JZB.
In Milton, there are movers, shakers, givers and takers.....you be the judge.
So far, political connections to Gordon Hunter haven't done well. His campaigning always gets down and dirty. Just watch what happens. All while sporting that nice clean shaven church going grin.
How long before Gordon has Joe badmouthing D'Aversa to Children at weekend school sports meets.
And will we be blessed with similar inapproriate Santi election campaign material - perhaps more near naked infants covered in paint splashed across the media?
My name is Joe Longoria. I am running as Crooked Creek's personal council member. Crooked Creek needs it's own representative because we are special. All I can think about is getting that gate for the community, even if it is against the law to close a public road.
I'd like to give thanks to Karen Thuram for making me run for office, and Bill Lusk, and Neal O'Brien and Rick Mohrig who have come out of hiding to support me..
I hear the Good Year blimp needs some helium so I gotta go! Vote Joe!
I think there are more then 600 people in Milton, Crooked Creek. So don't forget about the other 24,400 little people that live here, we count too, even if we don't in your mind, or your candidate's mind.
I am sick of the people in our Federal Government with the "Elitist attitude", so I am sure not going to take it from your neighborhood. The first word of the name of your neighborhood speaks volumes. How do you like knowing that Longoria is bringing a bad name to your neighborhood due to his campaign antics? Well, pretty soon you are going to want to be gated in because you will not be so proud to say you are from Crooked Creek after the name he is making for your neighborhood. What was that sound?! Sounded like property values dropping. Ker-plunk.
The only band being heard is that coming from Milton High School. Had to say that for Tim's benefit! Hah Hah! just kidding around Tim! Wallace is either never home, doesn't mind the sound, or is deaf to the band and stadium PA system. Or maybe he's just got really good insulated windows and cranks up AC/DC so he can't hear it.
Owning land and having issues with the maintenance of Wood Road does not constitute special interests. A lot of us in Milton own a nice home and have land and all of us want our roads maintained, especially the one we live on, so I am not sure why this makes Hunter so special interest bound and it certainly doesn't say anything about who the special interest are. So he ran for office once and was involved in the formation of the City like a lot of people were, but this only says that he is involved in our community and doesn't say anything about supporting any special interest group. If an accusation is going to be made, even on an anonymous blog like this, then it should be defended with facts.
His only "special interest" is to have JZB fail and the only way he can help with that during this election is to try to remove one of her type on the council.
Close, but not exactly. Gordon and most folks want Milton to be successful and nice. Some interpret that as JZB failing. If one's allegiance is unflaggingly to Julie, though, even as Milton goes down the sewer, you are part of the problem. JZB's fembots and their subservient M-bots may yet be the demise of this pretty area. Then there really may be some uncontrolled growth, because of & not in spite of them.

This guy seems like a good guy. Too bad he's attached himself to Gordon Hunter.

A Gordon Hunter endorsement is almost as bad as an Alan Tart endorsement.
Face it now Tina. All Crooked Creek people are going to vote for Longoria. You are going out. Stop wasting what money you have left.

Longoria video is very good. He is confident, enthusiastic and knowlegeable. Should be a very interesting debate on Oct 15.

5 minutes of talking in a circle. I guess that is what you do when you don't have a clue about what is going on in the city and what the issues are.
Yeah, Tina tends to do that a lot.....
she sure does

What position is Hunter running for? With all the shots at him, I am completely confused.
It is so hard to keep all JZB's parrots straight.
I see that Julie's band man is at it again.

Maybe Hunter is running for power broker czar.
