Milton, GA – Olde Blind Dog announced today that it had been chosen by Guinness Brewery as one of only four sites in Georgia to host a celebration on September 24 in honor of master brewer Arthur Guinness.

“We are ecstatic with having been selected by Guinness to host this great event,” said Olde Blind Dog general manager Geoff Kokoszka. “September 24 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of a 9,000 year lease for James’ Gate Brewery in Dublin, the birthplace of Guinness stout.” Dubbed “Arthur’s Day,” the celebration will be conducted around the world at locations selected by Guinness. “That Guinness chose Olde Blind Dog as an official site to celebrate Arthur’s Day,” said Kokoszka, “demonstrates their confidence in us as keepers of the Celtic tradition of hospitality, good food and great spirits.”

Leading up to the big celebration on September 24, radio stations Rock 100.5 and 99X will be broadcasting event information and will be qualifying listeners for a chance to win several prizes, including the grand prize of $99,000. The radio stations will be broadcasting live from Olde Blind Dog, and will announce the grand prize winner that night. “It will be an exciting evening,” said Kokoszka. “The world famous Celtic band Rathkeltair will be playing outside, and in addition to the grand prize of $99,000, there will be night-long give aways, drink specials and food on the outdoor grill,” he said.

Arthur’s Day caps a week of special events at the pub. September 17 is Olde Blind Dog’s St. Practice Day celebration, and this month the day marks the halfway mark to St. Patrick’s Day. And on Saturday, September 19, the classic cars, trucks and bikes come back to the pub for Cruise-in at Olde Blind Dog from 9 am to noon.

Olde Blind Dog is located at 12650 Crabapple Rd., in Milton, Ga. For more information, call (678) 624-1090, or visit the web site at www.oldeblinddog.com.
