Peachtree qualifier is flat and fast
MILTON, GA., Oct. 6, 2010 - Attention to those Miltonians with fleet feet: The 2nd Annual Milton Mayor's Run will be held Saturday, Oct. 16 at the Kohl's on Ga. 9.
The 5K (3.1 mile) race, which begins at 8 a.m., will circle Deerfield Parkway beginning and ending in Kohl's parking lot on the Deerfield entrance side.

According to race organizers, it is a flat, fast course that is perfect for runners looking to chalk up a good time for the Peachtree Road Race. There will also be a 1K fun run.
Cost for participation is $20 if received before Oct. 11 and $25 after. That fee includes plenty of food and fluids after the race. All participants receive a quality, moisture-wicking T-shirt with an event logo designed by Milton resident Andrew Furman, founder and president of Roswell-based Apparel Image.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Milton Parks and Recreation Department.

"We are very excited to work with the City of Milton for a second year in a row on this race," said race organizer Zach Middlebrooks. "We're hoping that plenty of Milton runners will join us for a great morning of fun."
