January 11, 2010 MILTON - The Atlanta Regional Commission and the City of Milton will hold a North Fulton Comprehensive Transportation Plan interactive meeting at Milton City Hall Jan. 19, 6 to 8 p.m.

Milton encourages its citizens and business owners to come with their ideas about the city’s transportation needs within the North Fulton region.

The purpose of the North Fulton Comprehensive Transportation Plan is to provide the foundation and framework for multi-modal, multi-jurisdictional infrastructure and policy recommendations across the cities of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Sandy Springs, Roswell and Mountain Park.

The resulting document, TRIP (Transportation Resources Implementation Program), will guide the accomplishment of this effort. Input from the public and stakeholders will be sought throughout the project schedule.

A key outcome of the program is to identify and reconfirm community visions and priorities. Roadway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, safety and operational improvements, demand management, freight movement, environmental, land use and market analysis are critical study components.

For further information, contact the Project Manager, Ed Ellis, at 404-419-8700.
