MILTON, Ga., Oct. 27, 2011 - On Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. the non-profit Teen Advocacy Group (TAG) will hold an open house for parents of children from 6 to 18 to discuss the programs and activities it offers through a partnership with the City of Milton.
This meeting will take place at the Bethwell Community Center, located at 2695 Hopewell Road in Milton (click here for directions).
At this meeting, TAG counselors will provide information and answer questions on programs that affect children and how they approach life's challenges. Classes to be offered are modified by age of participants and include:
Bullying
Peer pressure
Dating
Body image
Violence and abuse
Substance abuse
Pregnancy
HIV/AIDS and STI/STD
Additionally, there will be information regarding a parent lecture series with a noted psychiatrist, athletic recruiter, obesity physician and scholarship expert.
