Seven Gables Fire.

Many thanks to Brenda Filer for sharing this with Accessmilton.com

Hello,

I am so so sad, as I'm sure everyone in our community is about the destructive fire at Seven Gables Farm yesterday.

A vinyl banner will be hanging beginning tomorrow or friday with this image on it and a lot of empty space (with Sharpies included), if anyone would like to write a note of encouragement or thoughts. Maybe it would be nice for them to know that their community cares about them......

I love this idea! I hope we will come together as a community to show our love and support for John and Gail and 7 Gables Farm. So sorry for the loss of the family pets. I hope the rest of the farm animals are OK. My thoughts are with you.

I passed the farm this evening on my way home. So sad to see the destruction, but nice to see the little red "hearts" that were placed along the outside of the white fence. So glad to see our community come together to show its love for 7 Gables Farm - I hope many will sign the banner as well! I also hope that all the farm animals are OK.

Stopped to hug Mr. Bogino this evening and the family is so thankful to the community for all the love and support these past two days. He said he had no idea just how many of us noticed and loved his farm. To all those who have sent cards and placed "hearts", Thank You So Much!! They want you to know they feel your Love. As the days and weeks go by, let's try to make sure the Bogino's and PopPop and Mrs. Harmon, still know we are here praying hard. Let's do all we can to lift them up. They will rebuild. They will have plenty of food to eat. Sharing our love for their farm with words written or said to them standing by their fence, could be what sustains them right now.... "Home" is where the heart is..... <3

They are living in an RV on the property now, so cooking would be difficult. Gail was very receptive to the offer to recieve meals. A web address: http://www.mealtrain.com?id=mx5aadc3h2yt
called the meal train is being used to coordinate meals. Although you do have to register & log in, the website is free. It was Gails request to only have meals brought every other day, because space is an issue. If you have any questions or don't want to use the 'meal train', feel free to contact me at bfiler@mac.com

Thanks for clarifying the meals. Some of us assumed they were covered since they have a restaurant but understand now it's not close by. Since we probably cannot all coordinate delivery of meals, with so many folks wanting to help out. I wonder if someone has a deep freezer they could loan so the family has a place to store meals for the coming weeks/months??

Hello,
Thanks for bringing up a valid point. Yes, they do own restaurants, but they are not around the corner and they do not deliver. Also, their cars were destroyed in the fire so they have no transportation. The meals can be very well organized if you are willing to use the 'meal train' website. http://www.mealtrain.com?id=mx5aadc3h2yt. It's all very organized and gives exact instructions if you want to provide a meal. Also, they lost all off their clothing, shoes, underwear, etc... in the fire. Gail was happy today to have a different 'outfit' on, it was a t-shirt that somebody had dropped off. When asked what her needs were, she asked for hairbands to be a ble to put her hair up!!! They basically need essential things like that. Gail is a size 6 clothing & a size 7 shoe. Not sure about John yet. Please sign the banner. Thanks for your support.

I apologize, I was mis-informed about their needs. I just took the first of the 'meal train' meals over tonight and although John was very appreciative, he said that they really do not need any food. He went on and on about how much the well wishes, notes, balloons, hearts and signed banner meant to both of them though. I think it really touched them. So, no need for meals, but if you haven't already stopped to sign the banner and would like to do so, please do.

Everyone has been so incredibly kind - and I am so pleased to see John and Gale's kindnesses returned to them by such a warm outpouring from the community. They love each and every single animal out there as though they were their own children. That's why losing their own Jake, Macy, JD and Baby was so very hard on them. Gale told me last night of the misty rainy dawn that brought them a bright, bold Rainbow stretching from the back pasture corner, across the graves and into the wreckage of the house. She said she thought of the Rainbow Bridge poem and knew the animals were all right. With much gratitude for each and every one of you, Judi Evans

I saw this yesterday and was very shocked and sad to see the devastation. I have always loved that home and loved the addition they built recently. So very sorry they lost their pets and beautiful home.

John and I (gale) want to express to everyone who has stopped in or put cards in the mailbox, how much we have appreciated the kindness your hearts have shown to us here at seven gables. It has truly helped in our healing. We will rise once again and began to rebuild the home we once shared with the community. Hello, my name is Lauren, I am very sorry for your lose. I am from girl scout troup 3347, and my troup and I were wondering if we could plant a tree on your property in honor of the animals lost. My toop and I are trying to earn a badge for scouts, and we thought it would be a good idea to plant the tree at 7 gables. We were also wondering if this could be done October, 9th. I could not find your contact information online and came across this stream. If this reaches you, please contact me at Diane@Dynasis.com

Thank you for your time,

GS troup 3347
