Public and private schools located in the city of Milton are once again invited to participate in the North Fulton Evergreen School program free of charge. Our first meeting, open to everyone, will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 7 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Road in Roswell.
This 15-year program has been a partnership with the cities of Roswell, Alpharetta and Milton Grows Green along with the non-profit Keep North Fulton Beautiful. We invite parent volunteers, teachers and administrators to join us at five meetings during the school year, held after school, each with a different theme.
By submitting an application and setting three environmental goals for your school, you may participate in our organization's network of resources. Click here to download the application.
There will also be an environmental resource fair at the meeting Sept. 7 featuring about 20 displays from environmental companies and non-profits. Children are welcome to attend and a brief tour of the new CNC Discovery Center and community garden will be held at 5:30 p.m. More information is included in this newsletter, along with great tips about grant opportunities and upcoming community events.
