Councilman Bill Lusk qualified for re-election to the Milton City Council, District Three. He has served three years on council after serving as public works co-chair on the original committee to create the new city.

“I offer practical and invaluable financial experience to the city from running my own successful business for 24 years. As a civil engineer and general contractor building churches and schools, I bring decades of experience in the public works sector,”
he said.

“As an historian and preservationist, I recognize and cherish our local heritage and the need to protect this unique area we call Milton. As an animal lover and old farm boy, I love the equestrian nature of our community and will fight to preserve and promote it. My wife and I chose to live on an old country gravel road in the heart of this rural area when we moved to Milton in 1998,” said Lusk.

The councilman emphasized his priorities as duty to God, country, community and family. He said his record and motto is: less talk, more action.

Can anyone name a single Lusk accomplishment since he was elected?

Yes, he voted for sewer extension that I hope will not be the beginning of the end for Milton. He is also working diligently to bring more density to Crabapple and compound the traffic issues we already have there.

He started the Vetrans memorial and he was instremental in getting the Milton Grows Green comittee started.

He voted for fiscally conservative budgets, has worked well with the mayor and a majority of the council and brings a pragmatic perspective to the city. He's an adult in the room, which is worth a lot. A soldier, successful small business owner, father, solid guy...I'm proud he's on the council.

But.........He's not a whiney activist that dosent have a clue about real life? He cant rely on having family money and had to make his own way? We must make sure that we only elect whacko's like his opponent. (not Al but the District 2 council woman who is using poor Al)

He found and saved a million bucks from the first CH2M contract.
He was key in uncovering hidden failure to qualify for $850,000 in lost revenue.
He works hard and pays attention-always a nice quality in an elected official.

The list is long, not short, as first poster hopefully suggests. Sorry dude, your question applies to district 5, not 3.

No "dude", district 2. Who do you think is behind all this?

He's a "sailor", not a "soldier". Get it straight. Probably not an important distinction to you but important to those of us that actually know what we're talking about. Also, voting for something does not constitute an accomplishment, nor does being an adult and having children. Many people check those blocks unintentionally.

Y'all are gross. A sad commentary on Milton too. If your pathetic comments reflect the majority here, then it's time for me to move on. Even if it's pretty here.

Maybe folks need to use PC terms like pox, blemish or that sort of thing. No need to offend the genteel among the masses.
Or is there political filtering going on now?

Did Bill really start the MGG commitee? Or was it Bull Bailey?

Has Tina had her "meltdown" yet?

It depends on which "Tina" you are asking about, the nice Tina, or the mean Tina? Depends on which day it is.

That's convenient so he can wrap it around himself and pose for a picture.

Just because you don't have to identify yourselves on this blog doesn't mean you can be vulgar or nasty. Act like your mother is reading these and she knows who you are. Sheesh. Here's what I want to know about him and everyone running. D or R? Why do we want developers running the city? Have you seen Crabapple lately? Our future slums with all that dense development? His flier says he developed the Architectural standards. Have any of you read them? I did & It's a travesty. They looks like he's trying to homogenize Milton into little farm houses and push out anyone who wants a house designed by an architect or with any unique character. We had a devil of a time getting our plans to build approved because we were told the design "looked it belonged in Buckhead" What the???? What's wrong with Buckhead? I can't afford Buckhead. And Lastly his flier says he built all those crosses for memorial day. Every time I see them I think " did anyone research to make sure every single one of those men were practicing Christians and there weren't any Jews or Athiests?" That would be a horrible insult to the families if that were the case.
