An annoucement was made today by Walmart of America regarding their purchase of land lot 1059 in Milton, Georgia. The parcel, which was previously owned by seven different families, encompasses fifty plus acres of rural lands.
"It was time to sell," longtime resident Tim Enloe relayed. "Too much traffic, abusive speeds, and constant noise from the new Milton High School didn't make my home a home anymore." Enloe relayed that he has an option on twenty acres in Savannah, TN that he plans on pursuing. Other families involved in the purchase could not be reached for comment.
The parcel, one of a few currently being debated for sewer extention between the city and county, was one of the reasons Walmart Realty pursued the deal according to the documents shown.
No feedback has been received by the City of Milton at the time of this release.

There goes the neighborhood!
And, the Milton Neighbor has picked up MILTONville as a monthly column. I'll be over to interview you very soon for my first story!
I knew this would happen if city council didn't get their act together and tell the county that this lot should not be sewered!
Too late now...
If this is not the BEST April Fool's Day joke ever, then I don't know what is, in Milton! But after calling the ones "in the know", they swear it's true.
Could it be?????
BTW, my earlier post really is a joke but I wish it wasn't.
Hey did you hear about the COSCO going on Phillips Circle
Also a housing project at the Birminham Park!
I will blame Julie as she should have been at Wal-Mart's corp headquarters andticpating this and fighting it.
Hey Tim, isn't it illegal to use thier logo in your little April Fools joke?
WHAT! Are you kidding me? Another one!??? And we thought Crabapples traffic was bad now. It is really going to be a mess now unless they 4 lane Mayfield.
Who would have thought.
Is this really an Aprils fools joke? If it is then you had me going. Good one! :)
