Council proclaims “MDA Firefighter Appreciation”

At its July 1 meeting, Milton’s City Council honored firefighters for their efforts in collecting more than $350,000 over seven years of boot drives for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

The fire department raised more than $66,000, a new record, in this year’s “Fill the Boot” drive.

In the proclamation, council urged residents to thank the city’s firefighters through September for their selfless service and commitment to charity.
