MILTON, Ga. - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating a police-involved shooting.
It happened in Milton just after 8 p.m. off of Morris Road on Tuesday. Detectives say 43-year-old Jeff Hamilton made threats to himself and others on his Facebook page.
When officers arrived, he pulled a gun and was shot twice.
The officer, identified as Chad Taylor, was placed on paid leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
Hamilton was taken to North Fulton Hospital in critical condition.
