Verizon Wireless and City of Milton are helping residents with their spring cleaning by hosting an electronic recycle day next week.

The collection will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 17 at the Verizon Wireless South Area Headquarters at One Verizon Place. All donated items will be either reused or recycled in an environmentally safe manner.

Acceptable items include most electronics such as computer equipment, gaming consoles, telephone and answering machines, stereo and audio equipment, remote controls, cameras, electronic toys and small appliances.

Televisions, refrigerators and freezers will not be accepted, nor will any items that may contain hazardous waste such as batteries, inks and toners, mercury bulbs, medical waste, and motors or pumps containing fluid.
