Car Chase has it All: Pot, Child and $85K

On March 15 an officer stopped a car for speeding on Deerfield Parkway. Then chaos ensued. As officers approached the White Dodge Charger, they noticed that it smelled like marijuana. Officers asked the suspect – identified as Monroe LeBeau III – to exit th car. However LeBeau refused to leave the car telling officers that his 6-year-old son was in the car and he did not want to leave him alone. However, eventauly LeBeau did exit the vehicle. While being questioned by police, LeBeau took off and began running toward a local subdivision, leaving his 6-year-old in the car. Police went after Lebeau and they eventually found him in the backseat of a Toyota Avalon that belonged to an Alpharetta man. Once police caught up with him, LeBeau went on the lamb again, eluding cops and running away. LeBeau would try to outrun police two more times before finally being caught thanks to a police dog who bit LeBeau twice. When police finally were able to search LeBeau's car, they found seven pounds of marijuana, $85,000 in cash and a "Marijuana Grower's Bible." LeBeau was arrested and charged with robbery by intimidation, drug trafficking, reckless conduct, resisting arrest, speeding, failure to maintain lane, failure to wear a safety belt and driving with a suspended license.

$2K Worth of Jewelry Stolen From Milton Woman's Home

On March 12, officers were called to an address on Hopewell Lane in reference to a burglary. According to the homeowner, she left her house around 1:15 pm and returned around 9:15 to find the glass panel on her front door broken. The homeowner also told police that the house seemed to be in fine shape except for the master bedroom, which was in complete disarray. Officers noticed an overturned mattress and dresser drawers that had obviously been rummaged through. Police also found empty jewelry boxes. According to the homeowner, $800 worth of earings, $150 worth of watches, $100 worth of earrings and a $1000 pearl necklace were all stolen. The homeowner also reported that two handguns had been stolen. Police currently have no suspects in the break-in.

"I Drunk"

On March 8 an officer pulled over a car for driving 85 mph in a 45 mph zone. When the officer approached the driver and asked him how he was doing tonight, the driver – identified as Luis Hurtado-Espinosa – only had two words for him, "I drunk." When the officer asked Hurtado for his address, Hurtado again only offered the the officer two words, "I drunk." The officer then asked Hurtado to step out of the car, to which Hurtado replied, you guessed it, "I drunk." Hurtado eventually stepped out of the car and admitted to the officer that he had drank 17 beers on the night. The officer then asked Hurtado if he would like to take some alcohol evaluations, but Hurtado said he didn't want to, "no need to examine, I drunk." The officer asked if Hurtado would like to take the roadside Breathalyzer, Hurtado's reply, "I drink too much beer." Hurtado was arrested for speeding and DUI.

Milton; BOE Partner For Two Acre Park.

By Accessmilton.com

With a constant plea from residents being the need for more park land, it appears as though council is listening.

Recently, they agreed to develop and use of a 2 acre park located between two Fulton county schools located within the city.

Officially, the BOE ownes the property, but the new partnership will allow the citizens use during off school hours in exchange for the city covering some of the maintenance costs.

The park will be located between Crabapple Crossing Elementary and Northwestern Middle schools.

To be specific, the agreement is as follows:

1. BOE has control of the park from Monday through Friday; 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m., throughout the regular school year.

2.Milton must make a request to use the park via the Crabapple Crossing's principal one week prior in order to use the park from 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

3. However, during this same time frame, Milton will have have the upper hand and use of the park on Monday through Friday from 4:30 p.m. until dusk, and on Saturday and Sundays from 9 a.m. until dark.

4. Non-city sponsored groups cannot use the park.

Hey liberals, the race card has expired.

By: Herman Cain
March 20, 2011

We have a crisis of crises in this country and some people continue to make the false claim that the Tea Party movement is racist, simply because many of us disagree with the policies of the Obama Administration. They also play the race card to try to dismiss President Obama’s leadership deficiencies.

Last week, a reporter asked me about some homemade signs at early Tea Party rallies, which were offensive toward President Obama and which quickly disappeared from subsequent rallies. But the reporter never mentioned the barrage of Bush-bashing by the liberals in the media who made it a sport when Bush was president.

When a black listener to my radio show finally figured out that I am an American Black Conservative (ABC) who disagrees with the failed policies of the Obama Administration, he did not call me a racist but resorted to calling me “shameless”, since I dared to disagree with our black president.

I pointed out to him that some black people can think for themselves, and that we all have a right to criticize our elected officeholders. You will notice that I did not refer to them as leaders. That would have been inaccurate.

Recently, I won the presidential straw poll at the Tea Party National Policy Summit in Phoenix, Arizona. During an interview last week, a reporter asked if I won because the Tea Party people are trying to dispel the accusations of racism. Never mind that this is the third unscientific presidential straw poll I have won in the last couple of months, along with RedState.com and WHO Radio in Des Moines, Iowa.

And then last week in the World Net Daily straw poll, I finished in a statistical tie for first place with Sarah Palin, Ron Paul and Allen West. Since Representative West is also an American Black Conservative (ABC), it is highly unlikely that so many people in different straw polls are voting for us to show that they are not racist.

Such a ridiculous conclusion would be an insult to both Representative West and me. If people would look at our respective histories, they just might notice a long list of “red meat” accomplishments.

Another reporter asked me last week, “Why do Tea Party people like you so much?”

What?

Could it be they liked my message of less government, free markets, upholding the Constitution and individual responsibility? Can the liberal mind possibly consider that people like me because they see some leadership in Herman Cain? Could the people who are part of this massive citizens’ movement be looking past the color of my skin?

Maybe people like my common sense ideas about how we get this country back on the right track. Because it is clear from the dozens of speeches and town hall meetings I have done across the country that most people feel we are definitely on the wrong track with this administration. That is, everybody except the liberals and the so-called progressives.

So get over it! The race card has expired! Intelligent thinkers are not buying it.

The expired race card is not going to dismiss the lack of leadership by this president. He has not focused on the right problems. His priorities are politically motivated. He has not surrounded himself with the right people, and he has not put the interest of the American people first.

Most people have gotten past race. They are looking for results.

Wake Up And Smell The Coffee.

By Tim Enloe; Accessmilton.com

This past week, the City of Milton sent out an email referencing the burglaries and a "local blog" posting the police reports. Far be it for me to assume that such a reference was in regards to Accessmilton.com. Just to be safe, however, this is my take.

Since February 15, 2011 to date, the City of Milton has experienced 18 "forms of crime", let's specify it to be burglaries of homes (breakins) or burglaries of vehicles (breakins and theft of items inside the vehicles). This does not include the daily life threatening speeding that continues unchecked or the dui and drug busts that occur more often that you realize.

The Press Release from the City of Milton states that "this time last year we had the same amount of crime, and there is NO crime wave based on last years numbers".

18 burglaries in 30 - Not a crime wave; just a coincidence... No need to be alarmed or to notify the residents! A drop in such from year to year should be expected, not matching it or out doing it.

I understand why the City of Milton encourages citizens to join their email list; we, the citizens, pay them to serve us. However, to send out email blasts about the next river cleaning or tree chipping day and not alert residents about situations detrimental to our loved ones' safety and property is beyond me. By the way, I don't think residents would panic; I think residents would be more prepared.

I understand how making a family safe is a combined effort of both resident and government. To date, however, the city has expected us to click here...there....here...www.crimewatch.com? Did you get all that you wanted done today taken care of? Neither did I...

It's time the City took the crime and safety situation of it's populace seriously through action; that action being hiring more officers NOW and more advocacy for those who have the courage and experience to do the job. It is only a matter of time before Alpharetta residents cry foul with all the carry over work their officers are doing in Milton. I thought this area incorporated so that it didn't become Alpharetta or was it just me?

Access Milton is here for the residents and businesses of Milton. It is here to discuss the topics affecting us all while experiencing healthy debate and eventually finding a solution. It is here to provide information that some who work for you would rather you not see. Do the residents really expect three officers on one twelve hour shift to take care of patrolling and day to day police activity like traffic enforcement on top of being expected to solve 18 burglaries, drug busts, and other various crimes all at the same time? The residents of Milton deserve better.

Before anything, safety of those they serve should be the #1 priority; everything else is secondary. The fact is that Accessmilton.com will continue to get the word out and encourage tax payer input as we have since before Milton Georgia existed; even if others choose not to. Accessmilton.com has been and always will be a place where you choose the news and your voice is heard.

Wake up and smell the coffee, City of Milton: Without the citizens; you are nothing. It's about time you started keeping them safe.

Call to Action - Email and Telephone Campaign.

Courtesy Mike Nyden.

Hi Everyone,

Well, here it is. In the words of Elliot Ness in the movie “the Untouchables”, “Let’s do some good…”Our campaign is simple: We’re asking one question and we’re asking for an answer to it. That’s all.

At the tail end of this email is a sample letter with the question; “Why are you redistricting school zones to require students from Alpharetta High School and Milton High School to attend Roswell High School, if Roswell High School is so crowded that you are moving Roswell High School students to Milton High School and Alpharetta High School?” Please post the question on the Board’s “Question and Answer” forum until the forum disappears and email each of the board members daily until an answer to the question is received.

Send what you wish, bullet points, etc., but please include the question (or your variation of it) and ask for a response in whatever you email the board.

As you read the letter, you may find that the facts sound crazy. The facts are real, and the resulting maps absurd if there is a care about a Community. The maps are here if you wish to check for yourself; you decide if they’re crazy:

http://www.fultonschools.org/redistricting/bethany/Round2_PlanA.pdf

http://www.fultonschools.org/redistricting/bethany/Round2_PlanB.pdf

http://www.fultonschools.org/redistricting/bethany/Round2_PlanC.pdf

This letter is valid and appropriate whether you’re living in Roswell, Milton, Alpharetta, or Johns Creek. We did that on purpose. Folks in those cities have promised involvement in this campaign to get an answer. It’s “us” asking for an answer from yet another Fulton County Government entity.

We’re expecting a variety of responses that we figure will be non-responsive. I’m sure some of the board’s responses will be published. If the response you receive isn’t an answer to the question, please just point that out in a return email to the board member, and ask for an answer to the question. When we get an answer that makes sense, we’ll stop asking. If we’re not getting responses at all, we’ll point that out too. These are elected people, so an answer is expected if solicited.

Here are the board email addresses for your convenience (you can probably cut and paste all of them into your email’s “To” field:

bryantlp@fultonschools.org

McCainL@fultonschools.org

maddoxc@fultonschools.org

bernath@fultonschools.org

loec@fultonschools.org

The phone number for the board is (404) 768 3600. Please call daily if you can, maybe during a morning and evening commute, and leave a message for each board member asking the same question, and ask them to get back to you. Again, once anyone gets an answer to the question, a real answer, we’ll stop calling.

That’s it… all we’re doing is asking one question. We’re not accusing or agitating. Answering should be easy and quick for the board. This information is what they provided, and the answer to our question is aside from my belief that the process is broken. They need to answer.

Please forward this email to everyone you know who might be interested, and please encourage them to take the same steps… email and call daily. I really don’t think it’s a whole lot to ask to protect our children, our schools, and our property values.

We’ll be working on keeping this issue in the news. Yes, the TV stations were there last Wednesday night, but the interview I saw was the usual spin from the board’s person, and what we “felt” about their choices. With this question, we’re hoping to either get an answer from the board, or point out the fact that we haven’t to various news outlets.

Sorry… about so much explanation.

Oh yeah, we’ll also be soliciting additional elected officials to join in defending our cities, but that remains pending. There’s a good chance we’ll be asking for your help with that too.

Here’s the sample letter:

Dear Board Member:

Why are you redistricting school zones to require students from Alpharetta High School and Milton High School to attend Roswell High School, if Roswell High School is so crowded that you are moving Roswell High School students to Milton High School and Alpharetta High School?

According to your assertions and the data you provided,

· Roswell High School is overcrowded, and,

· Alpharetta High School is overcrowded, and,

· Milton High School is overcrowded.

On The Maps provided on Wednesday night,

· Students who presently live in Roswell and attend Roswell High will go to Milton High, and,

· Students who presently live in Milton and attend Milton High will go to Roswell High, and,

· Students who live in Alpharetta and attend Alpharetta High will go to Milton High, and,

· Students who presently live in Milton and attend Milton High will go to Alpharetta High.

There are other absurdities within your proposed maps.

This scheme(s) appear to be arbitrary musical chairs, and are nonsensical. The process that provides such a result is flawed, absent strong reason to support the result.

At the core of any districting process should reside the simple principle that students who live in a city should fill the schools within that city first, and then go elsewhere outside the limits of the city, if the school in that city is overcrowded.

So, please answer via return email - Why are you redistricting school zones to require students from Alpharetta High School and Milton High School to attend Roswell High School, if Roswell High School is so crowded that you are moving Roswell High School students to Milton High School and Alpharetta High School?

Sincerely,

Your Name and contact info

Masked Man In 'Power Ranger' Costume Alarms Residents.

Courtesy WSBTV.com

MILTON, Ga. -- A masked man, dressed in what one neighbor described as a Power Ranger costume, has residents in the north Fulton County city of Milton doubling their burglary protections.

At 8:20 p.m. Saturday, a family on Roxbury Row was watching television with their house lights off when the front doorbell rang.

They told Channel 2’s Jeff Dore that they noticed their backyard motion detector switched on.

They didn’t answer the door but checked the video from their front-door security camera. What they saw was alarming -- a person wearing a black ski mask and what appeared to be a silvery outfit from neck to toes. One neighbor said it appeared to be a motorcycle jacket and pants.

The homeowner e-mailed the photo to eight friends. They forwarded the picture to others and now it appears to have gone all over Milton. Dore spoke with neighbors in other subdivisions who are locking the gates to their communities, installing security systems on their homes and adding security video cameras.

Channel 2 contacted Milton police to learn more about what happened.

A spokesman said they basically had a case of a suspicious-looking person ringing a doorbell but no evidence that any crime had been committed.

MILTON, Ga. (AP) - Police say a Norcross man who had been pulled over in Milton fled on foot, leaving his 6-year-old son along with 7 pounds of marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash.

A police report says an officer clocked a car driven by 28-year-old Monroe LeBeau at 49 mph in a 35 mph zone Tuesday night.

Milton police say LeBeau tried to carjack two cars before he was arrested.

Police say that in addition to the crying child, LeBeau left the marijuana and about $80,000 in vacuum-sealed packages.

LeBeau was charged with obstruction, attempted robbery, reckless conduct, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, seatbelt violation, speeding and failure to maintain lane.

Police say LeBeau was booked into the Fulton County Jail, and his son was placed with a relative.

Studio One To One Promoting Health & Fitness!

Hi, my name is Elaina Smith and I own Studio One to One, a personal training studio located in Milton, GA. I’m passionate about health and fitness, and while the clients at our studio are mostly adults, many are parents who wants their kids to live active, healthy lifestyles.

As parents, it’s important that we first lead by example. Sometimes we make fitness seem like a chore, even though it can be done in so many fun ways. What kind of example are we setting for our kids when we obsess over calories or the scale? Two juveniles charged with burglary.

By Accessmilton.com

Officers checking evidence to see if youths may be tied to other crimes

MILTON, GA, March 17, 2011 - Milton police announced today two juveniles have been charged with one count of burglary each after being arrested in connection with a February break-in at the Villages of Devonshire, a condominium community on Deerfield Parkway in Milton.

Milton Police Chief Deborah Harrell said detectives are examining property seized through a search warrant to see if the youths could be involved in up to four other recent burglaries in the Deerfield Parkway/Ga. 9 corridor area, including break-ins at the Orion at Deerfield Village apartments and Fairmont subdivision.

The youths, who are both under 17, cannot be identified by state law. Both were remitted to Metro Regional Youth Detention Center in Atlanta.

"I can't say enough how pleased I have been with the tremendous amount of time and effort our uniform patrol officers and criminal investigators have spent running down leads in this case," said Harrell. "I am extremely proud of their hard work."

Man stopped for speeding leaves behind son, $80K and 7 pounds of pot.

By Larry Hartstein
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A man pulled over for speeding in Milton ran from police, leaving his crying 6-year-old son, seven pounds of marijuana and $80,000 in vacuum-sealed packages in his Dodge Charger, police said.

Fulton County Jail Police say Monroe LeBeau, 28, of Norcross, faces multiple charges after leaving his crying 6-year-old son, seven pounds of marijuana and $80,000 in vacuum-sealed packages behind in his car while fleeing police.

The suspect, Monroe LeBeau, 28, then tried unsuccessfully to carjack two residents of the Morris Lake subdivision, police said. Officers used tracking dogs to catch LeBeau in the subdivision. He was bitten twice by a K-9 unit but declined medical attention.

The wild incident began Tuesday night on Deerfield Parkway when an officer clocked LeBeau driving 49 miles per hour, 14 over the speed limit. The officer "could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle," the police report states, and asked LeBeau to step to the back of the car while it was searched. That's when LeBeau took off down Morris Road toward Morris Lake, the report says.

"When Mr. LeBeau ran from his vehicle towards Morris Lake, he left his six-year-old son in the back seat of the car unattended," the report states.
"The child was not wearing a seatbelt and the door to the vehicle was left open toward traffic. The child was visibly upset and crying."

LeBeau, of Norcross, also left behind a backpack containing several vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana, another backpack with loose bags of marijuana and a third bag with two vacuum-sealed packages, police said.
Those packages each held $40,000 in cash, a Dodge Charger vehicle guide and a Marijuana Grower's Bible, according to the report.

LeBeau was charged with obstruction, two counts of attempted robbery, reckless conduct, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, seatbelt violation, speeding and failure to maintain lane.

LeBeau was booked into the Fulton County Jail, and his son was placed with a relative, AM 750 and now 95.5 FM News/Talk WSB reported.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Couresy Wikipedia.com

Saint Patrick's Day (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig) is a religious holiday celebrated internationally on 17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick (c. AD 387–461), the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland. It is observed by the Roman Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion (especially the Church of Ireland), the Eastern Orthodox Church and Lutherans. Saint Patrick's Day was made an official feast day in the early 17th century, but has gradually become more of a secular celebration of Irish culture.

Saint Patrick's Day is a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Newfoundland and Labrador and in Montserrat. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish diaspora, especially in places such as Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand, among others.

Little is known of Patrick's early life, though it is known that he was born in Roman Britain in the 4th century, into a wealthy Romano-British family. His father and grandfather were deacons in the Church. At the age of sixteen, he was kidnapped by Irish raiders and taken captive to Ireland as a slave. It is believed he was held somewhere on the west coast of Ireland, possibly Mayo, but the exact location is unknown. According to his Confession, he was told by God in a dream to flee from captivity to the coast, where he would board a ship and return to Britain. Upon returning, he quickly joined the Church in Auxerre in Gaul and studied to be a priest.

In 432, he again said that he was called back to Ireland, though as a bishop, to Christianise the Irish from their native polytheism. Irish folklore tells that one of his teaching methods included using the shamrock to explain the Christian doctrine of the Trinity to the Irish people. After nearly thirty years of evangelism, he died on 17 March 461, and according to tradition, was buried at Downpatrick. Although there were other more successful missions to Ireland from Rome, Patrick endured as the principal champion of Irish Christianity and is held in esteem in the Irish Church.

Wearing of the green

Originally, the colour associated with Saint Patrick was blue. Over the years the colour green and its association with Saint Patrick's day grew. Green ribbons and shamrocks were worn in celebration of St Patrick's Day as early as the 17th century. He is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish, and the wearing and display of shamrocks and shamrock-inspired designs have become a ubiquitous feature of the day. In the 1798 rebellion, in hopes of making a political statement, Irish soldiers wore full green uniforms on 17 March in hopes of catching public attention. The phrase "the wearing of the green", meaning to wear a shamrock on one's clothing, derives from a song of the same name.

Customs today

In every year since 1991, March has been proclaimed Irish-American Heritage Month by the US Congress or President due to the date of St. Patrick's Day. Today, Saint Patrick's Day is widely celebrated in America by Irish and non-Irish alike. It is one of the leading days for consumption of alcohol in the United States, and is typically one of the busiest days of the year for bars and restaurants. Many people, regardless of ethnic background, wear green clothing and items. Traditionally, those who are caught not wearing green are pinched affectionately.

Meeting Held to Discuss Fulton Redistricting Plan.

Meeting Held to Discuss Fulton Redistricting Plan: MyFoxATLANTA.com

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - More than a thousand people turned out Wednesday night at Alpharetta High School to learn more about a redistricting plan that could ultimately send their children to other schools.

The district said it's necessary to transfer several thousand students to other schools because one new high school is being built.

It was a packed gymnasium at Alpharetta High School, as an estimated 1,500 parents, students and others attended a meeting to learn about a redistricting plan.

Fulton County school system officials say a yet to be named high school in Milton will mean transferring several thousand students to the new school and other schools to fill in the gaps.

"These kids have grown up with their friends for years they're all in the same part of town and they don't want to be separated," said one parent.

Parents from Roswell High School, Alpharetta High School and several other schools packed the gymnasium to learn more about the redistricting plan.

"We have about 3,500 kids who come August 2012 may find themselves in a new school so what we're doing in this process is so they can tell us what they like what they don't like about these proposals," said another parent.

The parents learned and discussed the details of the redistricting plan in classrooms as part of several break out groups with district personal leading the discussions. Parents studied issues which will effect the re-routing of the students such as transportation, population density and geography.

Some parents say they're not necessarily opposed to their children going to a different school, they said they simply don't want their community broken apart.

Wednesday night's meeting is the second of three public meetings.

The Fulton County school system is expected to announce the results of the redistricting plan in June.

HERMAN CAIN AT OLDE BLIND DOG 3 TO 5PM ON SAINT PATRICKS DAY!

Herman Cain grew up in Atlanta, Georgia with loving parents and little else. His father worked three jobs—as a janitor, a barber and a chauffeur—and his mother was a domestic worker. Even though these jobs required hard work and little glamour, his parents knew this life was better than the dirt farms upon which they grew up. They also knew that this hard work was the key to achieving their American Dreams.

Herman’s parents had two dreams. First, they wanted to own their own house. Secondly, they wanted both of their children to graduate from college. During the segregation era in the Deep South, these aspirations might have seemed lofty, but they knew that if they kept their faith in God, faith in themselves and faith in the greatest country on the Earth, they could achieve.

The first dream was realized in a modest brick house on Albert Street in Atlanta, Georgia. After years of saving from his many jobs, Herman’s father surprised the whole family, even his wife, by purchasing a home for their family. The second dream was realized when Herman graduated from Morehouse College with a dual degree in math and physics in 1967. His brother, Thurman, would go on to graduate from Morris Brown College.
Inspired by the work ethic and character of his parents, Herman continued his education by earning his Master’s degree in computer science from Purdue University while working full-time developing fire control systems for ships and fighter planes for the Department of the Navy. Though Herman enjoyed using his talents as a civilian employee for the Navy, he gravitated towards the culture of business.
Herman returned to his home of Atlanta to begin working as a computer systems analyst for the Coca-Cola Company. After considerable success at Coca-Cola, he moved to the Pillsbury Company. Within a short period of time, Herman rose to position of Vice President. Although the comforts of a corner office on the 31st floor of a majestic corporate building seemed satisfying, Herman knew that he needed a challenge.
He became the regional vice president of Pillsbury’s Burger King division. This meant starting from the “ground up,” dodging grease fires and broiling hamburgers. Herman was assigned to lead a low performing region of 450 of their restaurants. Within three years, it became the best performing region in the company.
Energized by overcoming the many obstacles of his job at Burger King, Herman took on the biggest challenge of his career. He accepted the call to become the President and CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, a company that was teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. In just 14 months, Herman returned Godfather’s to profitability and he led his management team to a buyout of the company.
His professional successes garnered the respect and admiration of industry peers who named him the President of the National Restaurant Association. Under Herman’s administration, the group grew significantly and began to lobby for the interests of America’s restaurateurs and small business owners.
In 1994, as head of the National Restaurant Association, he had the opportunity to speak with President Clinton during a nationally televised town hall meeting. Here, Herman challenged the President regarding the impact on businesses if his health care overhaul proposal were passed. President Clinton attempted to assure him and the millions of viewers watching at home that his legislation would not harm American business owners and their employees.
Herman was skeptical. “Quite honestly Mr. President, your calculations are incorrect,” he said. “In the competitive marketplace, it simply doesn’t work that way.” His words echoed across America, and Newsweek named Herman Cain the primary saboteur of Hillarycare.
Through these and other appearances on behalf of the National Restaurant Association, Herman began working with business leaders across all sectors of the American economy. This led to his acceptance of a position on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, and he was subsequently elected their chairman. In this role, he analyzed economic conditions in the region and notified the Federal Reserve of how their policies should respond.

Most recently, he hosted a radio talk show, “The Herman Cain Show,” on Atlanta’s WSB 750 AM/ 95.5 FM. He serves as a regular contributor on several broadcast networks and as a keynote speaker at conferences and events around the nation.
Despite the many professional commitments of his life, Herman continues to enjoy most the time spent with family and friends. As his children got married and had their own children, he knew that he had an extraordinary obligation to do what he could to make this a safe and prosperous nation for them. The paramount joys in his life are his wife, Gloria, his children and his grandchildren.
At the urging of grassroots conservatives across the U.S., his presidential exploratory committee was founded January 2011. For more information, visit http://www.hermancain.com.
