In a special called meeting Wednesday night, Rick Mohrig joined Milton’s City Council. Mohrig, who ran unopposed in the special election Nov. 5 for former councilman Lance Large’s vacated District 3, Post 2 seat, was sworn in by Milton judge Brian Hansford.
Above, Mohrig signs his oath of office to officially join council. After being sworn in, Mohrig and his family joined friends and fellow councilmembers for a small reception in City Council Chambers.
Mohrig will serve out the rest of Large’s term, which ends in 2015. He joins Councilmembers Karen Thurman (District 1, Post 1), Bill Lusk (District 2, Post 1), Joe Longoria (District 3, Post 1) and Mayor Joe Lockwood (at large), who all ran unopposed in the Nov. 5 general election.
