MILTON, Ga. – Santa
Claus made a special detour from the North Pole to sleepy Milton Nov. 29, when
he came just in time for the city's fifth annual tree lighting.The tree lighting ceremony, at the corner of Ga. 9 and Webb Road, included musical performances with Milton's Mayor Joe Lockwood and councilmembers counting down to the big moment.
After the tree was lit, jolly St. Nick was driven in by fire truck to the tune of "Here Comes Santa Claus."
Following in the holiday spirit, Lockwood will have his open house party Dec. 15.
