Max Moorman, a 15-year-old Milton High School student, recently spent an afternoon at Milton’s City Hall as part of the city’s Mayor for a Day program.

Moorman met with Mayor Joe Lockwood and City Manager Chris Lagerbloom, who introduced him to city staff and explained how his local government works. Moorman also rode with police officers and visited a Milton fire station.

That evening, Moorman presided over the Milton City Council meeting, helping give out 5-year service pins and even swear in a new board member.

If you are interested in introducing yourself or your child to local government, call Christine Doss, interim executive aide to the city manager, mayor and council, at 678-242-2492 or e-mail christine.doss@cityofmiltonga.us.
