UPDATED: City Hall to tentatively open at 10 a.m.

Alert: Milton City Hall will open at 10 a.m. Jan. 12 contingent on morning road conditions.

Road conditions: Carter Lucas, Public Works Director for the City of Milton reports crews have cleared the following roads:

Bethany Bend
Deerfield Parkway
Cogburn Road from Bethany Bend to Webb Road
Webb Road
Morris Road
Freemanville Road from Redd Road to Birmingham Road

Crews will also work on Cogburn Road from Bethany Bend to Hopewell Road and New Providence Road tonight to clear them of snow and ice. Hopewell Road remains dangerous due to equipment malfunction.

Lucas warns drivers should be especially careful because frigid temperatures overnight will refreeze previously cleared roads.

Though they may not appear to have snow on them, there is likely to be a thin sheet of ice that is very dangerous. Avoid all travel unless absolutely necessary.

Please note: Neighborhood roads will remain dangerous, perhaps even impassable.

Thank you to Milton’s residents who have stayed off the roads.

Stay up to date with road conditions with Milton's Nixle, Facebook or Twitter feeds.
