The Nixle Community Information Service allows the City of Milton to instantly deliver messages, via cell phone or e-mail, to residents who subscribe. The City of Milton Police, Fire and Public Works departments use the service for important public safety information, including emergency management, road closure and severe weather condition updates, as well as other relevant safety information.

The messages can be sent city-wide or specifically to residents registered within a ¼-mile radius, giving them the opportunity to receive trustworthy information relevant only to their neighborhood. Subscribers can also choose the way in which alerts are received, whether it is by e-mail, text message or over the Web.

Nixle is reliable and free for the City of Milton. Please note: It will only be used in emergency situations. There is no spam and no hidden cost. However, standard text messaging rates do apply.
