I'm probably the only resident in Milton who thought that speeding wasn't that much of a problem. The bicyclists riding three & four abreast is a much bigger problem in my opinion.

Is that because you are one of the constant speeders?

Do the speed limit and watch how many people will be on your tail!

while they are there they can kiss it.

Lowering the speed limits just 5 mph won't deter those who speed at 60-80 mph. This will aggravate the people who do drive the speed limit further, and those traveling behind them. This is the City's idea of placating chronic complaining, and not attacking and solving the bigger problem of increasing the size of our police force. We have double the square miles of Alpharetta don't we, and only a fraction of the police force? The City needs to figure out a way to fund more police officers, yesterday.

If only the City of Alpharetta had annexed us, we would not be having this discussion.

More police officers means increased taxes for all of us. Just don't commit a crime (speed, etc.) and we will all live comfortably, with money to spare.

The bicyclists are rude and have no concern for the rules of the road or the danger they cause. The police force can do a better job of enforcing the rules of the road for all.

What about people being law-abiding first and foremost? Then there would be no argument for increased police presence.

I have discovered a neat little trick to pull on these bicyclists. I am fairly attractive and rather endowed in the chest, so what I do when I pass them is to honk the horn to get their attention and then I lift up my shirt.

It is so funny to watch them run off the road and crash.

My goodness, can see it now...new Milton ordinance, NO SHIRT LIFTING WHILE OPERATING OR RIDING IN A MOTOR VEHICLE!

The 5 mph reduction is no more a safety issue/measure than the Milton City Council is a well oiled machine. This move is 100% a revenue gerneation tool.

Proof: cops sitting at the hill on Cogburn as people go downhill waiting to write revenue deposit slips (a.k.a speeding tickets)

Why did the deadbeats who don't have a real job win this battle to lower speeds?

They don't even drive to work or pay taxes!!!

Psychos!

Why not have 35mph limit citywide, us non workers and non taxpayers want to see what people with real jobs look like. It's difficult when you're driving in excess of 45mph.

Well it keeps those darn bicyclist off the roads finally!

It does ????
