Land bought in Milton for new high school

The Fulton County Board of Education announces the purchase of 64 acres of land at the intersection of Bethany Bend and Cogburn Road in Milton. The land will be used for a new high school scheduled to open in 2012, which will relieve existing overcrowding and future enrollment west of Georgia 400.The high school was originally planned for Freemanville Road in Milton. The Freemanville site was intended to house both a future middle school and a high school campus but as detailed site plans were developed it became clear that the co-location of a middle school and high school would not allow for Fulton's preferred middle school prototype. By relocating the high school to a new site, the system will now be able to construct its standard middle school design on Freemanville Road.The new site, one of only a few adequate sewered sites available in the target search area, offers proximity to major highways. As soon as a site plan is developed for the new high school, a series of meetings will be held for community input.

When is she going to start the fight against the middle school?
I think this Move is a very good one. This is a more suitable location for a new high school and will have easier access to major roads. Good to hear!
Plus it will give more room for the Middle School on Freemanville Road>

The residents on Cogburn Road will now have seven (yes 7) schools on a 1.7 mile stretch of road (of those 3 are high schools). Not to mention 3 churches and a Ball Park.
No one deserves this on their doorstep !!!

Go meet JZB in person and get your hostility out of your system instead of using this blog as your psychotherapy.
