MILTON, Ga. - The Olde Blind Dog pub in Crabapple was the site of jubilation Nov. 8 as the campaigns of the Matt Kunz and Lance Large claimed victory.

With most votes counted, Kunz defeated incumbent Julie Zahner Bailey by nearly 10 points - 52-46 percent. Bailey's fellow council member Alan Tart lost to Large 47-52 percent.

Incumbent Burt Hewitt ran unopposed.

"We've got a great team of people here," said Kunz, who thanked his wife, RaDonna, for being the first to compel him to run. "Everyone working together is a very unique thing."
He added, "There's a lot of work to do tomorrow. I've got to get my nose in books to learn the nuances of government."
"Nobody expected this," said supporter Chris Gillig. "Six months ago, these guys [Kunz and Large] weren't even on the radar."Also on the ballot was the penny tax to pay for education improvements. This passed with 63 percent of the vote, county-wide. The sale of alcohol on Sundays passed in Milton with 76 percent.

Finally, nice clean and legal.
Julie was singing a tired song of scare tactics that worked for a few years too long as it was. Good riddance to all the idiots and hunchbacks who were duped by her for so, so long.
Alan was toast, like Tina, simply because he was irrelevent and unproductive.
Poor Lockwood. I wonder what excuse he will come up with now for how ineffective he is? Like Al Gore, he was for Julie before he was against her, before he was..wait, I get confused.
A great day for Milton. I hope the new guys thanked the godfather for the help getting on the radar!!

OK, let's get those stupid yard signs down fast.

Also start building Birmingham Park into a park and sell that stupid house those idiots bought on the corner of Birmingham Road and Hopewell Road.

Nothing significant happened in that stupid house and no body wanted to buy it for years. Now Milton owns it and says it's a park.

Also, lower building permit fees. I recently added a deck to my home and those thieves charged me $1500.00 for a building permit.

They are not going to keep any campagin promises, are you for real? Now we have two more people on council who have no experience and will do whatever the others recommend they do. That is what Hewitt and Longoria do, led around by the nose.
Can't wait for 2012 for more than one reason, Lusk and Thurman are old stale soup and need to be thrown out the window as well.

the good thing is now there is no one blame but theirselves for all their screw ups. Who they gonna blame now.....Lockwood? Joe you have put yourself on an island with Hewitt as your wingman, good luck buddy.

Oh, Joe they are gonna turn on you too fella.

Time to change the Milton logo from a horse to a sewer line. You just elected a couple of developer puppets that can't wait to see Milton turned into another Roswell. So let's get moving on sewer lines so we can build apartments and more empty strip malls. Milton, you just killed your beautiful horse country.

3 years from now, all Milton citizens will rue the day that they elected Kunz. He is a going to turn Milton into urban sprawl, and he and all his developer buddies will cash in. I hope you like more traffic, crime and development because here it comes!!! You'd better make sure your burglar alarm system is working. Didn't you idiots that voted for him see that most of his signs were posted on undeveloped corner lots? What do you think those supporters want to do with those properties? Was driving another couple of miles to crabapple that big of an inconvenience? You all just got duped BIG TIME.

Kunz has that much power?! If so, then he should be elected our next president.

"Respect?" That went out the window with those two scumbag phone calls on election even, one posing at LL's opponent. Disgusting! And Karen, why not act with some dignity instead of slamming your fellow council members?

Gee whats wrong with you? Why don't you give the guy a chance? Why are you so negative? You'reso obviously ill informed about matters it's just scary. You're just like the democrats in Washington who think th Reoublicans want dirty air and water. As if they don't have families of their own to protect from these things. There's a way to have balance, as in all parts of life. You must be a joy to live with. Mr/mrs negative Chicken Little.

You know you're talking to or reading a comment from someone who has very little intelligence or education when they resort to name calling and bad mouthing. Their communication skills are limited, so we need to feel sorry for them (and their family) more than being angry with them. Sorry ur gal & guy lost, that's life. Win some, lose some. It really isn't the end of the world like you think it is.

7:46 - you were the one duped

5 years of the same bull and you still believe it?

Will you still be falling for the same crap in two more years?

Did you write the same comments when Tina lost to the evil Joe Longoria last time? many others did!

No one is going to change the look of Milton.

Hopefully a little less dysfunctional Council can be a bit more organized and productive and fix the business environment here.

I hope Large's last robo calls were taped on the receiving end, especially the one with the caller impersonating Alan Tart asking for the vote. If you haven't done so already contact the Secretary of State and make sure an investigation ensues. Don't they usually send the FBI in election fraud cases?

Sore Losers never give up do they?

No they don't and won't. The city lost, not them.
