Courtesy Birmingham Falls Elementary.

Mrs. Susan Matzkin was named as Birmingham Falls Elementary School's new Principal at last night's Fulton County Board meeting. Mrs. Matzkin comes to us from Forsyth County. She has worked at Liberty Middle School and is currently working at Midway Elementary School as their Assistant Principal. She has 14 years of teaching experience which was done mostly in the elementary school setting and 5 years as Assistant Principal. Her educational specialty is in reading. More information and an invitation for a meet and greet will be sent home after the Thanksgiving Break. Let's welcome her into our Birmingham Falls family!

Lookie loo, the anonymous comments are back. How refreshing. Access readership and website hits must be down. We need more positive comments from all the people who know the answers. Let's get nasty again and make that positive contribution to Milton.

Did you know that Forsyth County Schools are among the best in the nation? Milton, you should be proud to have a new principal from even the lowest-rated school in the county. By the way, I have taught at this "low-rated' school for 21 years. It is an amazing place to work. The teachers here are the best I have ever worked with. Their dedication is unparalleled. Our school has an extremely diverse student population with many esol students yet we continue to meet our AYP goals year after year and have been awarded Title I distinguished school several times. Please welcome Mrs.Matzkin to Birmingham Falls Elementary. she truly knows what is is like to work hard in order to make a school the best that it can be. Our loss is your gain. Chris Brown
