Milton Community Director Alice Wakefield resigned on Tuesday, July 21st. Mrs. Wakefield had been with the city for approxmately one year. Prior to that, she worked for Fulton County in the same capacity.
No word yet on a replacement. As more information comes to light, we will post it here.

I'll bet it was the Mayor was who she couldn't work with?
CMH2Hill employees do not have a vested interest in the city, it's just a job to most of them. Hire someone that lives here for the job!!

Judge a person for the kind of job they do, not if they make you tingly all over.
She did do an excellent job. Unfortunately it will be hard to replace her as long as we have certain people as elected officials. This is the council woman that dosent give you tingles all over but makes your skin crawl.
Why don't you find out the facts first before you make biased and unfair assumptions placing the blame on council members.
The unconfirmed word is that CMH2Hill had not renewed Employee Contracts - so rather than finding herself in a compromising situation with no contract she grabbed the 'not to be missed oportunity' to work for the City of Roswell.
Yes she did indeed do an excellent job. But it's also no secret that she was a Fulton County Planner through and through (Approve, approve approve to develop, develop, develop!!!) and, as such, she just could not get her head around Milton's Mission Statement to maintain its rural integrity.
Perhaps Roswell is a better place for her. And as for Milton they would be best served by bringing the integral Office of Planning inhouse and manning it with local employees who have a vested interest in it's future.
What are you her agent? Excellent would not be a description of her job performance, coming from someone that actually dealt with her one on one last year, she was condescending and paid no attention to detail let alone lacked people skills. nah nah nah nah hey hey hey, goodbye!

Your petty "nah nah..goodbye" comment and your obvious inability to graciously accept the opinions of others gives a pretty good indication of just how arrogant and condescending you are. It's no wonder you clashed with her!
Thanks for the insults. That shows what kind of person you are. Funny how stating MY opinion is arrogant and condescending to you. I didn't insult you, just stated my opinion of her from my personal experience, just as you did.

Oh I get it, you just don't agree or like my opinion of her, so you twist it and lash out at me. Not everyone agrees with your opinion that she did an excellent job. We don't see it the same, so be it. She's resigned, move on.
Some people give it their all in their jobs, schoolwork and volunteer work, and get criticized for doing their best. Yet many others scrape by without much effort and they are to be rewarded and praised too?! Hogwash!!!
That is fine but she should not waste so much of other peoples time at council meetings. Let her "give it her all" on her own time and not others.
