I think we have to accept the fact that everybbody wants a piece of this comunity. It's as if they look at a beautiful, rural area and something predatory kicks in --"we have to ruin this." The developers wanted to have their way with the Crossing. And under the cover of the "Crabapple Master Plan" -- which turned out to be a diversionary hoax -- they got it. Now Fulton wants to drop two schools and a STADIUM right in the middle of one of the most beautiful stretches of road in all of Atlanta. You can bet your acerage that sewers is next. Is there any reason for confidence that in the next 5 to 10 years we won't see townhouses at the intersection of Providence and Birmingham? Id so, I'd love to hear them.

I think we have to accept the fact that everyone wants a piece of our community. They see a beautiful, rural area and something predatory kicks in -- "let's ruin this." The developers wanted to have their way (traffic, density and clear-cutting) at the Crossing. Under the cover of the Crabapple Master Plan -- which turned out to be a cynical hoax -- they got it. Now Fulton wants to drop two schools and a Stadium on one of the most beautiful stretches of road in all of Atlanta. Next up is sewers. Who wants to bet their acerage that within 5 to 10 years we'll see a townhouse community at the intersection of Providence and Birmingham? Everyone talks about preserving the rural nature of Milton. Right now, it looks like we're a big ) for 2. It's either step up and fight, or replace the horse in the spiffy Milton logo with a bulldozer.
